  1. Thanks Pete! The watch is spot on to the gen as far as I can tell. The usual tells with these is the dial screws are improperly placed and the date wheel is a standard one, so with it placed at 4 o'clock, the numbers are tilted inward towards the dial. @Vly - the watch was originally Avitt's and then was sold to a member named Chad who decided he needed to sell it to me @Bertieng - got the watch this way, so no idea how to disassemble it, sorry. I was kind of curious about that myself actually!
  2. I'm down with that lani. Where do we submit our work. Who's the "Editor-in-Chief"? Would be cool too to exhibit custom builds too. ie: concepta's gorgeous IWC porto's, Rolexfinder's new AP, etc.... Of course, there's always the "How to build your own Tudor" which several of us can contribute to.
  3. You know it's funny you mentioned the bit: I've been wondering what's been up with Pugwash lately? Haven't seen him around in a long time. There was even a Birthday thread wishing him a happy birthday which I don't remember him posting in. The last time I saw any posts, he asked about Vegas because he was going to be there this weekend for the CES. Anyone heard from him?
  4. We should add Mercury to the list. I've enjoyed his car articles he's been posting lately.
  5. Good points Ronin!!! That Phaeton was an engineering marvel of a car!!! Draft free Air Conditioning, massage capable seats, Air Conditioned seats, etc.... But, as you pointed out, it's sales were poor solely because it was a VW (basically just a re-badged Audi A8). Good point about the Tudor's as well. An amazing collection of watches, made by Rolex, but more affordable. And yet, you meet a WIS while wearing a Tudor, and they will turn their nose up because it's not a "Real Rolex". Quite silly really!
  6. Fantastic idea Lani!!! Of course!!! By all means I would love to contribute in any way that I can!
  7. The watch is absolutely stunning on the rivet bracelet Lani! How about some new wristi's on the new bracelet??? Definitely a new favorite watch for me! Always a fan of the original Explorer, and this one is a prime example!
  8. Amazing straps!!! I love them all!!! What sizes did you make???
  9. It's sort of like the new Hyundai Genesis. It's an amazing car for the money and definitely gives Mercedes, BMW & Lexus a run for the money, but so many people are turned off by the car just because it's a Hyundai. Anyways, so does anyone actually own one of these beasties?? I would love to see a wristi
  10. Great shot and stunning Telecaster!!!
  11. Stunning!!! Your collection never ceases to amaze me Lani!
  12. Amazing collection and superb photos!!! The 201/a is gorgeous as is the 111e!
  13. Super contrats F!! +1 what Ubi said! The watches are secondary compared to the friendships formed in this amazing community! Here's to another 2,500 posts!
  14. Sweeeeet!!!! It's about time! Great idea Andy. Just purchase a cheap porto and do a little swap, change the strap and it will be a pretty sweet looking watch!
  15. Looks awesome R!!! Good call on the swap! And that strap looks nice and buttery soft! It's a nice combo!
  16. Wow Hike!!! Those photos are superb!!! Is that photoshop or some other cool editing program?
  17. That's a great looking bracelet on that one Arty! Is it 24/24 or 24/22? Wearing my 112h today:
  18. Man I hope you are buying lottery tickets with that kind of luck!! Congrats on your new acquisition!
  19. Man that sucks. I really don't like the US postal service. They offer a "form" of tracking but it's pretty useless. They won't even come around to the back side of my building to drop off mail. So if the package is bigger than the mail slot at the front of the building, they just take it back to the main branch and occasionally leave a notice saying that they attempted to make a drop off. The best part is, when you track the incoming package and it is sitting at the Burbank post office, it says "Delivered"!! How awesome is that??? Kurt, thank god your parts arrived as did my watch huh? That wouldn't have been good at all!
  20. It comes with ziggyfied radiation pills! It's the beautiful vintage tritium mix that Zig does! Pretty sick huh?
  21. Nice to see you posting here Nikki!! That Tag is sick! Still wearing my Tudor
  22. Cool watch and amazing movement technology!!! What else could a watch enthusiast ask for??? Cool vid...thanks Ronin!
  23. Glad it arrived safe and sound! Now you have a great little kit to start taking pics of your tools! . . . . . . Oh, and watches of course!
