  1. Oh that's a good question. The dial I am playing with may very well be a gen. I got it as a part of the kit. That could explain the issue.
  2. Alligoat is correct. The 2892-A2 will work in a case designed for a 2824 case, not a 2836 case.
  3. Not bad but not nearly as nicely serifed as the gens I've seen. Check this thread: LHOOQ's has a nice date wheel as well.
  4. Rolexaddict built a custom one for a member here but it was a two tone model. It's quite gorgeous. Check it out here:
  5. While it has not been a cheap project by any means, it is still definitely cheaper than the cheapest gens I have been able to find.
  6. Thanks for the tip, but I bought this in pieces and never disassembled it. It doesn't appear as though the dial fits thru the back so it seems unlikely that the movement and dial assembly goes in that way.
  7. A little project update for you all. Ended up going all gen on the parts for this. Just need a set of hands to complete the project Details will follow later with more pics once it's completed, but in the meantime, here's a couple of teaser pics for you:
  8. DateJust for Friday: Working on the "Triple Zero" as well. More details to follow, but here's some teaser pics for you
  9. For the Navi builders out there, what is the installation order? I am really confused how this thing goes together. I noticed that underneath the slide rule there are three small screws holding the bezel/sliderule assembly down to the case. Is that supposed to be removed and is the movement/dial supposed to load in from the top? Any direction or info would be greatly appreciated!!
  10. Unfortunately, once it's on the internet, it's there forever. He probably just googled it and your post came up. Sucks that he's linking to it though. They are nice pics that you took however
  11. Ahhh.... Good 'ol Front St!
  12. Odd. No matter what I try it doesn't give me the option to login.
  13. To those using Tapatalk to browse your favorite forums, I have a few questions. 1. I only just recently tried to add a second forum to my Tapatalk app. How on earth do you set it up to login with different credentials for each forum? I don't use the same username in all my forums and I cannot imagine the app doesn't allow for different login names? Cannot for the life of me figure this one out. 2. Anyone else notice that when you try to send a PM or reply to a topic with a lengthy reply that when using Tapatalk, it inserts HTML code when starting a new line? i.e.: <br> etc..... Really annoying!
  14. No issues here for me at all. What issue are you having? Logging in or just unresponsive behavior?
  15. I have a couple of watches that in the real world would cost somewhere around $25k but the grand majority of people would have no idea what they are or what they are worth so I don't really care. Odd thing is, the watches I get the most compliments on are the ones I would have never suspected. One example is my SOXA which is just a Seiko diver with a silver dial like a DOXA Searambler. That one gets more oohs and aahs then any other watch I own. Weird huh?
  16. Thanks J. I kind of figured it would be like finding a needle in a hay stack, but since this forum is full of Rolex experts, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask I'm thinking I am going to have to go with lumi hands and just have them relumed by Ziggy to match the dial. Probably way cheaper that way too.
