  1. You know its funny you mention that. I was thinking the same thing. I noticed some nice grey plastic in there underneath the "rotor". Looks like a Miyota movement of some sort. Maybe an OS20?
  2. I agree. Its a good start! Hopefully they will figure out a V2 soon, or better yet, a McQueen Rep that is up to our higher standards
  3. Just noticed the date wheel is wrong too. No dots in between the numbers. It seems like the most simple and obvious things the factories just completely gloss over and ignore. Weird huh?
  4. Subdial spacing looks fine, but the labeling is all wrong. And the caseback thing is kind of interesting. Its a nice looking movement though!
  5. Here's a pic of the gen from Basel 2009
  6. The Monaco 24 Concept has been posted on Josh's site. It's a nice looking watch, but from the pics I have seen online of the gen, the subdials are completely wrong and the case is polished SS instead of black. Either way, it's still a sharp looking piece. Check it out here
  7. Great shots and great watch! I love the ceramic bezel and I really, really, really like the polished mid links! It creates such a great contrast with the brushed sides. Not too blingy in my book! Enjoy it!
  8. Hi Guys, Check these out RARE ROLEX Submariner "red" 1680 MK I "tropical" dial Rare Original Tudor Submariner 9411 black tritium dial Original Vintage EXPLORER II 1655 "Freccione" dial used
  9. In the event that I am unable to straighten out this bezel (a dual sided nylon/brass hammer is on its way), can anyone tell me where I can purchase a replacement bezel? Thanks!
  10. I work for a post production sound company as a chief engineer. Basically I fix sh*t all day long when dumb people push the wrong button Or my personal favorite - when people "accidently" delete something off of their computer. How do you accidentally delete something??? The computer asks about three different times "Are you sure you want to move this file to the trash?" or "Are you sure you want to empty the trash?"
  11. Hi guys. Thank you all for your advice and options. I got the bezel off, but unfortunately bent it in the process So the next question is: where do I get a replacement bezel for a noobmariner? Here's a pic:
  12. I was looking at the AF Rubber Bezel Remover last night actually. You have had success with this one? The razor blade trick hasn't panned out too well as of yet. The bezel is so tight that I am only able to get the first round of four blades in. Then when I start onto the next round, I can get one more in. Once I try the 6th blade, the 5th one pops out. Very frustrating. Haven't given up yet. Will have another go at it today @offshore. I totally agree. The amount of help from people coming together in this community is awe inspiring. That is why I joined. That is why I became a supporter. And that is why I will be here for a long long time!!

    Awesome! Nice pics too!
  14. Wow, that press is now $9.99. Is this the one you have?
  15. Actually, that was going to be my next concern. Once I do get this thing apart, will I be able to put it back together again? What's the trick for putting the bezel back on again?
  16. That's the one then. It has SN F520117. So my guess is that the bezel insert was modified to fit this case. The insert came off as I was doing the razor blade trick (still haven't gotten the bezel off - at work and actually have to get some things done today). Anyways, the insert looks like it was glued on which I am assuming is not correct? Shouldn't it be press fit with the bezel?
  17. Wow Gavidoc! That is great. I will try that shortly. Quick question, do you put the corner of the razor blade in, or do you use the middle of the blade?
  18. Well, that isn't the only problem, but it was my main inspiration for stripping down the watch. The bezel is quite tight and I wanted to give it a good clean and possible adjust the click spring while I was at it. The pearl was going to be a bonus after the fact! Not only do I need to figure out how to get this thing off, but now I am wondering who made this sub? Is it a noob, or another factory? Can anyone tell just from the pics? Are there any tells that I can look for now that I have un-cased the movement? Thanks for all your replies so far guys!
  19. I agree that it will most likely be a niche market. Corporations will never adopt it. I very highly doubt that the Google OS will have any of the exchange functionality that the corps like to rely so heavily on. But I agree it is always good to have a little healthy competition out there for MS to deal with. Linux is so rock solid and with the Mac OS being based on that, it is superb. And I have to say, I have XP running on my 13" Macbook and this is the smoothest running windows system I have ever used! It is un-real!!
  20. I got this one from another member here. I just assumed it was a noobmariner. However, these are the specs when I bought the watch: Rolex Submariner, Swiss ETA Movt, Genuine pearl [albeit with a crack], Genuine bezel insert, laser etched 'dotted' coronet on the crystal at six [as per gen; completely invisible to the eye, unless looked at from a certain angle under direct light]. Bezel is tight and clicks solidly - no wobbliness or move. Dates are centered, as is the cyclops. Crown is solid as well, doesn't wobble or fragile feeling. Watch is pool and ocean tested! The cracked pearl is why I want to remove the bezel. So, if it is a noobmariner, then they modified the insert. If it is not, then I have no idea where this watch is originally from.
