    Just some B&W

Wow! Stunning! Thank you for sharing that with us!
  2. The only thing is, Lani would have to dial into the conference call as well. That would be the only way it could work. You can't call from the conference call to another line unfortunately.
  3. Looking forward to some side by side comparisons! Thanks for the post!
  4. Ok the toll free system we use here is actually corporate owned, so I won't be able to use that system. However, there is a free conference call system at this number: (702)851-4044 The first person to call in generates a made up conference number code, and then everyone who calls in enters that same number. I just tested it using a conference call code of 78956. The code can be anything though, it doesn't matter.
  5. There is a way to do a free large conference call actually. My company uses a conference call system all the time for world wide conferences. I am looking into the system now. All you need is the 800 number to call and then there is a passcode for the call you are on. Once I get more info, I can post it here for you guys. (That is if there is enough interest for something like this?)
  6. Funny you should say that because that is exactly what I have been doing. Set one day short and then as I turn the crown back in it turns over one more day. Of course, it doesn't do this every time either, so more often than not, I have to try to set the date several times before it is set right. I think in the interim, I may break down and buy a watch winder just for this guy so I don't have to worry about it too often (only in months when there are only 30 days!)
  7. May just need a service, but if not, do a search for Edge's guide to watches or Gioarmani's How To: A simple and easy pictorial to modding your sub / sd
  8. Superb collection! Can't wait to see the new snowflake in that collection!
  9. And here I was thinking this was another question by a noob as to what the best rep was. WOW!!! Was I wrong! That is an absolutely stunning Franken you have made there. You should be very, very proud!!
  10. Yes, if I just unscrew the crown and leave it in that position I can manually wind the watch. If I pull it all the way out, I can set the time and the date flips over at midnight quite nicely. If I push it in one click, I can set the date by turning it upwards towards the top of the watch. If I turn it the other way, towards the bottom of the watch, I can manually set the GMT hand (it goes counter-clockwise). If I push it in one more time and line it up to start screwing the crown down, the date wheel turns one day before letting go and just being manual wind again.
  11. Hi Guru's, So when I go to quick set my date on the 2836-2, I pull the crown out to position 1 and turn it to set the date. When I push it back in to wind the crown onto the tube, the date continues to set by one more day. Is this a common issue and can it be repaired? It is proving very difficult to set the date accurately!
  12. There is always two sides to every story and there is no way to know who is responsible for what. However, that being said, there is a nice, amicable way to resolve any and all issues. Get a moderator involved to help out and avoid in all circumstances to file a PP dispute. A PP dispute is a 100% guarantee that someone is going to get their back up and become quite upset! That creates a hassle that no one needs and jeopardizes our ability to continue with this great hobby. I sincerely hope you guys can work this out and lets all keep the flaming down to a nice dull roar.
  13. You got it! Thanks steppen! Thanks to rocket754 for such a fantastic packaging job! And the build is outstanding! Thank you!!
  14. Hi guys & gals, Got back from lunch to find this on my desk this afternoon. It is stunning!!! Any guesses?
  15. Thanks Toomuch! I appreciate your input. Of course, now you are making my decision that much more difficult. I have already been in touch with J&W and just waiting on a reply. I love the look of the watch though, all minor flaws aside. It's a great looking, unique, vintage piece! I should probably finish my first Tudor project first and then I think I will head down the Monte Carlo path!
  16. Oops! Sorry Coeuss, just noticed you were the OP of the MKII thread! So I guess you already know about it! So who made the first? Was it the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms or was it the Tornek Rayville?
  17. Here's another nice one....cheaper too! MKII
