  1. Nice!! The ass strap was my first choice but he was out of stock. I must say though, the PAM 247 Ferretti strap is the best strap I have owned
  2. That's a great looking watch! What is the case size of that one?
  3. Need a replacement spring bar for my wife's Chanel J12. It is 19mm x 1.5mm. I found some on eBay but they come in a quantity of 25 pieces. Just need one (The other one flew off into the abyss that is my office - never to be seen again!) If anyone has a spare, I would be forever grateful! Thanks!
  4. Further updates: Dial & Bezel just arrived. Amazing how different the crazing can look under different light!!!
  5. Just a little update on the project progress. Found a set of 593 end links and a gen 703 crown. Having the date wheel from Stilty will really make a difference! Can't wait for that one!!!
  6. Exactly D. Also happened with the 5513's as well. In researching it a little bit more, I did find reference to several models of Rolex's that suffered from the spiderweb dial. It's quite hilarious reading about the "issue" in the gen forums. Most of them absolutely cringe when discussing the spiderweb dial claiming it as being absolutely worthless. Of course, these are the same guys that dislike tropical dials! Anyways, so far in my research, it seems as though the following Rolex's had issues with the cracking, spiderwebbing or crazing of the laquer: 5513, 16660, 16800, 168000, and the 16550.
  7. Someone posted in the shout box that the Noob factory has been raided and shut down. Not sure of the source though.
  8. You could be correct in that. Either way, I'm looking forward to the project. All I know is I want a submariner with tritium dial and hands, lug holes in the case and a nice bracelet
  9. Recently returned from the northern spa - my grandfathers restored Bulova with new hands and vintage tritium lume
  10. Thanks guys! @vlydog - the brown dial & Ti case are a superb combo!!! It is really quite stunning!!
  11. The cracks in the dial are what make it so special Besides you have to have the dial in the right kind of light to really see them. Otherwise the dial will look aged when you look straight down on it. (At least I think that's how it works!)
  12. Just got this one back from Ziggy. I had him install new hands that would accept lume and also had the dial indices lumed to match. I went with the vintage tritium mix to go along with the age of this watch.
  13. UPDATE: Just got this one back from Ziggy after a complete service and over haul. He polished the hour hand transfer gears and serviced the movement. Now it's got a 60 hour power reserve!!! Also had Zig strip the original blue hands so they are silver like the gen Platinum one
  14. Thanks D! Update: Re-lumed and Chieftang AR'd Cyclops installed by Ziggy
  15. Hello fellow watch enthusiasts! Just thought I would start a post introducing my next little project. I am planning on building a Franken 168000/16610 transitional submariner (the triple zero). So far, I have the following parts: TC Sub Case Set (rehaut sanded down & soon to have lug holes drilled in it) Genuine T<25 Spidered Submariner Dial Genuine Fat 4 Bezel Insert with aged tritium pearl Need to find a bracelet and the elusive 593 end links for it. Also need to find a nice 2824 date wheel overlay with rounded 3's and open 6's and 9's. Looks like I might have some help on that one with one of our famous modders here Here's a pic of the dial which is on it's way from New York. Special thanks and kudos to Ubiquitous for finding this dial for me!!! Check out the spider web cracking on this dial!!!! More to come soon
  16. A wallpaper of a watch on a watch forum? Completely off topic and unacceptable!! That is a great gesture lbazso!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
  17. Nice pickup!!!! Definitely a fan of the Searambler!!!
  18. Found this while researching different serif fonts for Rolex. Visual Comparison: A Study of Rolex Bezel Inserts Thought some folks might find this interesting
  19. Further update. When paired with the iPhone, battery level is shown next to the phone batter meter. Pretty nice little feature! Plus there are apps for the unit that you can add when syncing it with the website. So far it's a very impressive little device!
  20. Not too sure about that Cartier font. Looks quite a bit odd to me.
