  1. Superb review and quite funny too! Thanks M! Great shots as always!
  2. Wow!!! Excellent and very concise review! Thanks for taking the time to take so many pics!!!
  3. Wow that looks really great! And this is the newer offering?
  4. @watcher. Now send it to jmb and have lugholes drilled in it Looks good everyone! Interesting to see that they are using sequential serial numbers.
  5. Yea Stolas is making some nice stuff. His new chrono's are going to be very nice!!! That white dialed Genoa is quite nice too! Thanks! Thanks R!!
  6. I use loctite. Can't remember the model number. I bought it online but if you check their website, they might list local dealers. Worth a shot anyways.
  7. Very nice and welcome to the forum!! Congrats on your first purchase! Looks good to me!
  8. Haven't bought it yet. Rented it for 5 days to test it out and compare it with the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 VC lens. I gotta say, the Nikon blows the Tamron out of the water!!! The Tamron is soft, distorted (pinched in the middle at f/8), and the contrast is no where near as good as the Nikon. I was hoping that the Tamron would be close, but it just can't touch the Nikon in just about every single aspect! I just got asked by Curtis Stolas to shoot his new line of watches as well!!! Pretty stoked
  9. I'm not sure where the crystal comes from to be honest
  10. Simply gorgeous. Nice trade!!!
  11. Playing around with a new lens. The Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8. This is simply a brilliant lens and I had to share some shots I took with it today Stølås Harbormaster Spinnaker: Rolex GMT IIc
  12. No they are not. But I'm ok with that. I just like having the correct GMT functionality. The jumping hour hand complication is quite slick!!
  13. Thanks K! Unfortunately, this is a "one & only" for BK. I don't think he'll make any more of these.
  14. Already have an AR'd cyclops from Chieftang, but just haven't gotten around to installing it yet.
  15. Had this one for a little while now, but just haven't had a chance to grab a pic of it yet. This is my one off, custom BK made GMT IIc with a genuine ETA 2893-2 jump hour GMT movement. Also has all the BK trimmings including the custom BK Date Wheel Overlay. Only have a couple of pics so far, but the photo studio is set up so if there is something you would like to see, please don't hesitate to ask! Just got this one back from the Spa. Nicely re-lumed and an AR'd Cyclops installed
  16. Switched from the Monte Carlo to the Tudor 9411 for Wednesday:
  17. Please stop shouting and turn off your CAPS LOCK!!!! Oh and welcome to the forum Good luck with your Phong Build
  18. Not to mention the cost of the Ultrasonic Watch cleaner. They can get quite costly. No idea what the current model's sell for, but the L&R Tempo 400 are over $3k in cost (and that's if you can find one). A properly running Bulova Watchmaster Cleaner can be over $700. I don't think the $35.00 eBay special ultrasonic cleaners will quite do the job @JoeyB - congrats on your first tear down though!!! Very very cool! I haven't braved it myself yet. I have oilers and all of the right oils & lubes for a 6497 servicing, but haven't tried it out yet. It's the oiling part that holds me back. Very precise job that one, and not for the faint of heart (as Ziggy quite properly pointed out above).
  19. That looks really great J! Any chance the "pearl" is removable? Might look better without it
  20. Congratulations Cats!!! That is excellent news indeed!!! Amazing how positive vibes and general friendship can really help sooth any illness
