You will need to find out with the minimum focusing distance is for the lens you got with the camera. It may not be capable of doing close macro shots. That is the only down side to the D-SLR's and Micro 4/3rd's cameras. The lenses are pretty specialized and specific.
You might find you need to get a macro lens for the camera. I have seen decent reviews for the Olympus 35mm f/3.5 like this one.
Or you might have some luck with a Micro 4/3rd's Macro Extension tube like this one
Holy crap!!! What an awesome pic K!!! Someone's been doing some new shots with their camera huh??
Looks amazing M!! I still need to find a deployant clasp for my strap!
Still wearing the 9411 today:
There's lots out there at the moment, that's for sure. I bought a Canon 300HS for a nice little carry around for when I don't have the room for the big D-SLR and I must say it is pretty outstanding!! And it was cheap too. Might want to give it a look.
I've heard good things and there are some great lenses out there for the m4/3rd's cameras. A couple of co-workers both have the Panasonic versions. One is the GF1 and the other co-worker has the GH2. Both are pretty amazing. I must say though, the GF1 with a Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95 Micro 4/3 Nokton lens is INSANE! The lens is about $1,000 US if you can find one, but what an outstanding lens!!!!
Interesting thread here.
However, isn't it being just a tad bit optimistic to say that this is the definitive fix? There are some that have had movement @ 6 chrono modules run flawlessly since they purchased them. Others have had catastrophic failures with theirs. I am sorry, but I think I will revisit this in about a years time and see how these modded movements are holding up.
Also, some photos of the mod would be nice to see. Just being the "Watch Modder of the Year" isn't going to make me want to have my watch modified with such an untested method.
Just my 0.02
Wow interesting. I would be shocked if that deal actually went through. They are not doing well at all, but they still have a large market share in their enterprise software and make a lot of money with their licensing. Their biggest issue is making promises on new hardware and operating systems and then failing to deliver. This year will either make or break RIM I think.
I have an iPhone, but I have heard the SGS2 is a great phone.
