  1. Great/Amazing first pic!! That is a gorgeous looking watch!!! Congrats!
  2. Yet another fine example of Ziggy's superb handy work!!! Looks amazing!! Is this one of the new 029 releases?
  3. Some impressive shots R! Love that UN Dual Time!
  4. Mike, I took out the "SHOUTING" in your title! No need for caps lock my friend!! Sorry to hear about your woes with Watcheden. Even though they sent tracking & shipment list, I would still wait until the order arrives. They never seem to get anything right (by they, I mean all the dealers) and do slip up on descriptions, shipping addresses, tracking numbers etc....
  5. Which is why I use gift payment for both selling and purchasing watches. Like someone else said above, it is essentially like a "good faith" electronic bank transfer. No one is protected. The buyer cannot file a claim against a seller when they use the gift payment. This of course, comes back to what Ronin and many others have said "Buy the seller". You need to know well in advance who it is that you are entering into this "good faith" transaction. This subject is also the reason the Admin Team posted a "How to deal with sellers" post which is currently pinned in the GD section. Or you can just click here BUT...... to the OP. That is just disgusting! I cannot imagine why on earth anyone would require that the item be destroyed! In reading that article, the latest update did show that Paypal was looking into the claim. I truly hope they resolve it.
  6. Absolutely! Sometimes the back end is just as enjoyable to look at as the front end is
  7. Great pic and love the P.A.F. Daytona! Back from vacation and switched back to the MC:
  8. This deserves a nice little bump.
  9. Dude. I was traveling and checking in periodically with my phone. You have pm'd me, made posts in my sales threads and now posted a looking for thread. You only first contacted me yesterday (jan 9th) Some people do have a life outside of the forum and I'm sorry if I didn't respond to your lowball offer in a timely enough manner.
  10. Wearing my Tudor 9411 while traveling to Toronto:
  11. Wow that's one hell of a first build to tackle! As Nanuq pointed out, there are a few folks here that have built that exact watch - some even with NOS parts! Definitely a beauty and the original Omega movement is quite the stunner! I had one a while back with a 565 in it. I wish it had a display case back to show off that beauty!
  12. Wow that is an impressive build!!! Congrats and thanks for the pics along the way. Did you manage to age the dial at all or get rid of the glossy indices? For the plexi, I did a similar thing with my Tudor 7032. I used the plastic protective cover that came with the crystal and put it on the inside of the crystal. Then I dropped the acrylic crystal into a jar of metal shavings and shook the crap out of it. Aged the crystal nicely, and the inside is well preserved.
  13. Love the vid on Luxury Watches. Pretty amazing that they are still hand crafted! Especially after watching how much automation is used making the Panerai's.
  14. Wow that's a beefy looking strap F!! What's he source on that one?
  15. I don't have any of them These are all the watches that I have owned and then passed on. Only one I really miss is the Datejust to be honest.
  16. Rolex 1655 Explorer Omega Speedmaster Date Rolex 16610 Euromariner Citizen Dual TIme Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch Cartier Santos 100 (Rocket Dial) Rolex 1680 Bell & Ross BR02 Rolex 16610 (Noobmariner) Omega Seamaster Chrono Audemars Piguet Rubens Barrichello II Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean (Narika) Bell & Ross BR-01 I also had a Rolex DSSD Ver 5 but didn't have it long enough to take pictures of it. Hope you enjoyed my little history here at RWG
  17. I was browsing through my photobucket earlier and found that I have had quite the collection of watches in my short time here at RWG. I figured it would be fun to put them all together in a single post These are not in any particular order, but the progression of photo quality is pretty funny to me. I will start from the more recent ones to the earlier ones: IWC Portuguese Regulateur This is the watch that originally had me find RWG in the first place. I saw a rep of this back in 2009 in a store in Downtown LA but passed on it. Ever since then I have been wanting one. This particular one is quite unique in that it has been modified. Francisco combined this watch with another IWC F.A. Jones in order to get the more accurate bridge plates. The unique thing about the regulator style watches is the separation of the hour, minute & seconds hand. Each one gets its own register and this arrangement really stands out. I have gotten more compliments on this watch than any other that I own. UPDATE: Just got this back from the Zigmeister. Had it serviced so now it has a 60 hour power reserve. Ziggy also stripped the blue hands so they are now silver as per the gen. Panerai PAM 390 Ti Custom Ordered this one from Josh when he started offering custom H-Factory PAMs. Build consists of a PAM 390 Dial & Hands, PAM 177L Case Set & Case Back, and the beautifully soft PAM 247 Ferretti Strap. Simply a stunning build that I truly believe Panerai should make a gen version of! Vacheron Constantin Overseas Deep Stream This is quite the unique rep. Very accurate, very comfortable and quite stunning to look at. SS case & bracelet and a Titanium Bezel that has been bead blasted. The radial pattern on the slate grey dial is also quite stunning to look at. And the wrist shot: Stølås Harbormaster Spinnaker This is quite a unique piece. First introduced to me when vlydog posted a link to a website called "Bless This Stuff". They had a little preview of it and since, at the time, my birthday was coming up, I decided to go for it. They had a limited run of 125 pieces with an introductory offer and it was quite reasonable. They had a few different options with it, including additional straps and either a nicely engraved case back or a sapphire case back. I opted for all the extra straps and the solid, engraved caseback. It is quite large, same size as my PAM at 44mm. The lume is extraordinary I must say. By far one of the most unique lume applications I have seen yet. Rolex GMT IIc This is quite a unique one. This is a custom BK GMT Iic with a ETA 2893-2 true jump hour GMT movement. This one took a very long time to complete as it was quite difficult to source the green GMT hand that would fit the 2893. Re-lumed by Ziggy and a Chieftang AR'd cyclops installed. IWC Ingenieur Picked this one up from FxrAndy who had it modded. Incredible re-lume by FineDD including luming the small numerals around the inner bezel as per gen. Double AR on the crystal and the Lello date wheel make this piece a true super rep! Tag Heuer Aquaracer Chronograph 500m Rolex 14060 (JMB Custom) Panerai PAM 112m (H-factory) Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean (45.5mm UPO) Bell & Ross BR-03 Aviation Tag Heuer Aquaracer 500m BK Noob GMT II Master Pepsi Cartier Santos 100 (Ultimate Version) Seiko Samurai Breitling SuperOcean Steelfish Bell & Ross BR-03 Vacheron Constantin Overseas Rolex Submariner LV (BK - not WM9) Panerai PAM 112H Omega Seamaster 2220.80 Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Omega Seamaster 300 (Vintage) Ebel 1911 Discovery (Panda)
