Now I have said this several times in the past in various threads throughout the board - I really don't like gold watches.
That being said, that is one damn good looking watch!!!! Well done!!!!
Perhaps using the smaller ladies ETA 2678 automatic movement that was used for the BK WM9 v2 would be an option? You could then drill the correct holes for the gen feet on the movement holder? TC had a post about that over here and perhaps TC could even sell you a movement holder and movement that would work? I would imagine the movement holder would need some modification in order to be used in a 5513 case (not sure but I am just guessing on that one)
Agreed... There is no way you could tell any real damage to the jewels by just looking at it. You need to disassemble it and examine it under really good light and with a loupe. The crack could be barely visible, and yet that could cause some serious issues.
I really never pay any attention to the timegrapher pics that the dealers send me. I am more concerned with any cosmetic (or in some cases blatant) flaws with the watch. If the movement is ticking along then great. If it dies, I'll replace it or send it out for servicing. Not really worth getting overly upset about.
But that is just me. Personally I don't trust or have any faith in their readouts anyways.
Your link was just making a download. Definitely a little odd. I have fixed your post to show the picture.
Oh and I like that model too. No rep of that one as of yet unfortunately
I may have a date wheel from a noob sub for a 2824. It's your if you want it. It already has the date wheel overlay on it.
Other option would be a gen 3055 date wheel. Same ETA progression. That's what I am using for my 168000
My all time favorite Seiko watch!!! I too quite enjoy the spring drive mechanism and will one day own that watch! Can we see a wrist shot of that bad boy?
It does glow, but not as brightly as a superlumed dial. The 9411 has died down a bit (which I actually like better). Also, the 9411 has aged rather nicely since that picture. It has a great patina to it
I am thinking I probably will age it a little bit. After the lug holes are drilled I'll debate that. If nothing else I will give it a good long shake in my "Bucket O Shavings" jar
