Some of you may recall my white dial Franken Rolex DateJust that I bought from Wheaton26 about 2 years ago. Financial constraints forced me to sell it off and it was purchased by Sweatdogg. He in turn sold it to Topoky and I unfortunately missed the sale.
I must admit I have greatly missed this watch and have mentioned it several times in various threads. Well fate conspired and last week Topoky contacted me to inform me that he was probably going to be selling the watch. Now, I really didn't have the extra funds for this, but I couldn't pass up another opportunity to buy it back. After some creative accounting, I managed to get together the money and paid for the watch.
Well today it has arrived home and I couldn't be happier!!!!
For those of you who haven't seen this one before, here is a list of the parts:
Gen Dial
Gen Date Wheel
Gen Case & Caseback
Gen Crown & Tube
Gen Gucci ETA 2892 Movement
Gen Jubiliee Bracelet
Gen Bezel
Clarks Crystal
Rep Hands
Watch was assembled by stilty.
Don't forget to add the fact that the date wheel mechanism is actually a better design on the Asian version and does not have the same issue as the ETA one when changing the date between 10pm and 2am. Quite an ingenious design actually. Surprisingly the Asian's seemed to have improved upon a swiss design flaw!
I have read a few threads with various issues regarding incompatible parts between the gen and asian 3135. Has anyone tried installing a gen date wheel on a rep 3135 yet?
Hi folks, I have a question for the experts. I have a pair of gen 593 endlnks. One of them is bent out of shape a little bit. Is there a "trick" to getting it back into shape, or do I just work at it. Any suggestion on tools or such that I should use and/or avoid using?
Tips would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to mess these rare birds up!
Cheers!
Beautiful JLC there! Make sure you are vetted for high value sales before posting. PM me if you would like to begin the process and I'd be happy to get the ball rolling for you.
Don't you think that given Bergies history here, it's a little outrageous to claim scam? Sorry but that is just a little bit ridiculous. Send them back, and you will get a refund. It's appalling that you expect KB to refund your money prior to getting the goods back. Not even Amazon will refund your money until AFTER they receive the goods.
Oh, and filing a paypal dispute.... classy buddy.... real classy.
