Pictorial of Installing Lello datewheel on PAM 27/28
ajoesmith replied to ajoesmith's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
Yes i know, I do have the PAM 27 plain dial though but i prefer the hobnail better, and im not a big fan of PVD, so it looks like the next step is to install the crown i got from you. By the way do you know how The Zigmeister installed them? was it a huge modification to the case? -
This is just a few quick pics to show people that it isn't difficult to do this at all. Some people have said that it may be difficult to do as the soprod modified ETA 2892 movement has extra gears for the power reserve but the movement has been modified so well by soprod that its just an extra top plate on the movement and all the extra gears are held in place and don't come loose so its pretty easy to remove, pretty much like doing normal date wheel exchange actually. Ive shown pics of what i did along the way, sorry but im not going to comment on every picture as im way too tired and had a shitty day at work (training to be a secondary school teacher and the kids were little shites today!!). I installed a Lello date wheel and also the dial has been relumed by The Zigmeister and glows like a torch!!! I do have a Kruzer genuine crown but it doesn't fit, ill have to modify the case, a job for another time!! Enjoy

That helps, thanks Does anyone know where i can get the end links apart from Ofrei? cheers
-
Im going to buy an Omega SMP chrono. I also have a old school regular SMP bracelet with pins which i plan to put on it however, i cannot use the end link already on the bracelet as i have heard they are too shallow - correct?? and i cannot use the end links with the SMP chrono bracelet as it uses screws not pins - correct? So im looking to use Genuine Omega end links as i really want to use the bracelet with pins. Can some one please tell me if these end links are the correct ones - ref number 826? These are from Ofrei at $26 each. Does anyone know another source? Thanks

Yes its a brand new movement, and its ETA, so itll be oiled I said unserviced as its brand new and to distinguish from second hand used serviced movement. sorry if i confused people. This movement is Brand new! not used. it wont need a service for a long time just like other Swiss ETA 7750's EDIT: These movements are NEW!!!. They DO NOT NEED A SERVICE. Simply replace your old movement with this one!
-
The difference being, this is a real ETA and its oiled without lumps of crap in it that may be in the asian 7750. sorry i dont really see your point...
-
OK sorry i should have said Its New style 25 jewel, plain. The movements are brand new, maybe surplus stock not sure. But definitely not serviced, they are new Pics updated
