  1. Great mod, but could you possibly take a better head on photo of the case back so we can see the screws more clearly?
  2. Am i the only person who is rolling around in laughter at this topic title....... " Does anyone know how to measure your ring size?"
  3. Bought Macgregor M685 Mactecs Lets hope i dont get charged
  4. Bought some golf clubs from USA, REAL not fake Will be shipped worldwide express by UPS. Im expecting customs charges, but if i do get charged its still way cheaper than buying them here in Australia. SO my question is Do you think il be lucky and not get charged? Price is $250 shipped by UPS 3 day delivery Cheers
  5. Yes i think its the same movement, DG4813 is correct, Cousins UK have just made a mistake calling it the DG8413
  6. Sometimes this happens to me, all i do it gently touch the side of the balance wheel and kind of nudge it and it starts up again. BE WARNED THAT IM NOT RESPONSIBLE if it breaks the watch. Its works for me, sometimes The Zigmeister will probably give you a more definitive answer but this may help.
  7. Please do NOT send me a PM asking about the group buy. It hasnt stated yet so you are not too late. When i get the case back from the PVD company ill take pics and let everyone see the result. Then ill organize the group buy for this watch. Some people are asking for Super lume as well, it can be organized but will put the price up and also drag out the length of the group buy. If possible it will be The Zigmeister who will do it but im not sure if hed be happy doing 20 or so dials at one time. We will see, no guarantees
  8. Not much info available but its seems reliable Its a 28,800bph movement same as ETA, but hand sizes are different
  9. Admin, would it help bandwidth if some of the features were disabled. Disabling features that are not used often and are not vital for the running of the forum, e.g. radio, sudoku etc any others that are not vital. Also how about getting rid of the photo hosting and just getting members to use photobucket or something like that. Maybe someone could write a tutorial for posting photos using photobucket for those who dont know how? Just a thought.
  10. Use the search button and READ, you just joined today come on. If you expect people to jump when you ask a question like this having just joined today before doing any research yourself then your mistaken Just read, this is a great place and i think all the info you require is already here. Welcome to the forum
  11. OK still waiting to hear about the PVD and if the company has received the parts yet. BUT GOOD NEWS ON THE $150 offer If we do the group buy the supplier will also include the canvas strap for FREE! now it has a PVD buckle, or PVD look a like buckle but its sewn into the strap so it cannot be PVDed but still it free and give the watch a new look! When i hear news on the PVD coating ill let all know

  13. I can get all 3 versions for $150 each, ive negotiated a deal if i get 10 members on board. Its for the PVD group buy but if people just want in for buying the watch, nopvd coating thats fine.
  14. simple answer: Yes all Asian 7750 whether old or new have dial clamps
  15. Count me in ill send you an email as i missed the first run! Thanks
  16. no one?
  17. If the so called PVD is crap on this i have a company im dealing with now who is doing PVD coat for my B&R, its TiAlN PVD. I let you know how it turns out Someone said that the PVD on this breitling is TiCN PVD, well this company can also do this too. Lets hope they (factory) gets it right the first time though as it would save a lot of hassle and effort. I hear the Breitling avenger series bezel is really difficult to remove
  18. The watch case and all parts have been posted to the company for the PVD coting today. Ill keep all informed Just on a side note, this watch isnt a 'perfect' rep, however i think nearly all people on the forum are too worried about perfection these days. Yes the dial isn't perfect but its about 98% correct, the date window and dial screws are also not perfect but 98% correct, the 'do not unscrew' screw on the case back is not in the correct position, do we care, not really as we don't see that part of the watch when its on our wrist. Its a Great watch, thats very different and cool and it has a good movement, not swiss but if it breaks i t can be easily had for around $20, much cheaper than swiss ETA. Ill keep all updated as soon as i know. Thanks
  19. OK some wrist shots for comparision with some of my collection, They are quick and nasty but should give you some idea as to the size. I also have a tiny wrist but its ok and the Mrs actually likes it more so than my other pieces!!!
  20. Anyone interested?.....
  21. Yes it looks like the new fast beat movement, check out this picture and you can see the absence of the balance wheel 'adjuster', so its definitely the new asian movment
  22. All gone Please check the new group buy thread
  23. Ive had a few Pms about the ETA 7750 movements. All are now sold and so if people want them/need them then i can arrange another group buy. Price is $300 plus shipping. These are Brand New ETA 7750 movements, 25 jewels, 28,800 bph in 6,9,12 layout. Members have bought from the 1st and 2nd group buy and have been very happy. They also sell for around $450 from watch stores so its a very good opportunity to get one at this price. So here is the list, ill start 1 - ajoesmith 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - EDIT: If we get 10 members then its $275 per movement plus shipping
  24. UPDATE 27th September I got 2 watches today, 1 SS and 1 PVD. The PVD has the wrong dial, the dealer has been told and this is not a problem I will be sending both off for PVD coating tomorrow. and i should have them back by the end of next week. I have already dissembled one of the watches, really easy to do. The screw on the case back, the 'do not unscrew' screw, is just for decoration. when you unscrew you can see the into the watch and can see the stem release button. Insert a small screw driver, to press the button and out comes the stem and crown - Easy. The crystal has got ok single sided AR as per the genuine so i dont think we have to do another AR coating on this one. Here are the disassembly pics, enjoy
