  1. If that picture in your avatar is a photo of you then i suggest you change it. As for the $20 if you can prove that the watch arrived damaged and it wasnt done by you or the watch smith then the dealer has to pay for the return shipping. BUT, you say previously that the watch arrived perfect and it wasnt until the next day that you noticed the 'mark' on the watch, AFTER the watch smith resized it. hmmm Not blaming anyone but if its so noticeable then you should have noticed it when you first got it. This is a difficult one. Id just pay the $20, this way you'll get your watch back and let it be an experience. you dont have to use that dealer again.
  2. I will be doing a group buy in about 2 weeks time with Genuine PVD coating. You can choose if you like just to buy the watch only about $150 or with Genuine PVD, price to be confirmed but around $300
  3. 3 movements remaining Anyone need one?
  4. Update Been in contact with the PVD company and itll be TiAln PVD coat. They will do micro blasting, cleaning and then the PVD coating. I still have to receive the Bell and Ross watch but it will be here this week. All has been arranged with the company, ill dissemble the watch and they will do the rest. They said turn around will be just 2 days!!!! As for price they quoted $100-150 but that may change as it was just an estimate. Ill keep you all posted on the progress

  6. The sense of satisfaction you feel when you do something like this is great! I remember my first time and i was really happy, it felt great and also gave me the confidence to do other mods etc by myself Enjoy it! Now your on an upward spiral!!! Lots more things to try!

  14. New pics of this on silix site I like it, what do you think? Link
  15. Exactly my point! ETA 2836/2824 reps should be around $150-$200 NOT $320
  16. And a new yachtmaster with ETA movement at $500, come on!
  17. Im really Pisssed off with the price of new reps these days Why do people continue to buy reps above the $300 mark? The time has come to STOP!!!!! STOP BUYING AND THE DEALERS WILL HAVE TO REDUCE THEIR PRICES!! SIMPLE! This has to be a complete forum effort. We are all simply giving the dealers more excuses to increase the price even more. Look at the New Breitling blackbird, ok a new movement, with secs at 3 and a big date, so what!! and its an ASIAN MOVEMENT!! NOT SWISS. $400 is too expensive. Am i alone in thinking this?? I repeat STOP BUYING AND THE DEALERS WILL HAVE TO REDUCE THEIR PRICES!! SIMPLE! Are we all mad. if you were to carry out a survey a year ago and ask: 'would you spend $400 on a rep with asian 7750 movement'. Most of the answers would be NO. On another point if you were to carry out a survey a year ago and ask: 'would you spend $600/$600/$1000 on a HBB rep with Asian 7750 movement'. EVERYONE WOULD SAY NO Guys and Gals this HAS TO STOP.

  22. The Zigmeister can do this, not sure how much he will charge.
  23. At that price, do you fancy telling us your source?
  24. Im going to get the HBB lite and swap for a Swiss ETA 7750. The Zigmeister has a step by step guide as to how to do it in his watch repair guide. Heres the link The Zigmeisters guide to swapping an Asian 7750 (3,6,9) ala HBB to Swiss ETA 7750
  25. So its the old Asian movement - GREAT!! Easy to use Swiss ETA 7750 (with a few mods of course) anybody interested in another group buy?
