Is that last photo of a vintage dial? I'm no expert so i do not know.

A site that masquerades as WatchEden raises red flags ... they rely on you to misspell the web site name and then they get you!! My only other comment is in the few watches I looked at there, they never say what movements they are selling you .. is the $235 GMT IIc a gen ETA or is it the a21j version, which has a fair price of $88 ??

Look in BK's Watch Garage area here on this board? BK will disassemble the watch, install his accurate date wheel, and then assemble the watch again, with a lot more care than a china factory worker, certainly.

They are the same watch. BK adds a custom date overly that looks closer to genuine, and does some additional quality checks.

At a glance? None. This watch passes the 1 meter test! Looking from 3 feet away, it is great! Plaifender means the many tiny things like font accuracy.

It is indeed very close .. not a Super Replica, but a very good one. The belief of many people is that Rolex vastly over-charges customers for their stainless steel sports watches. They are made by machines, not by hand. Nothing can justify the $9000 price for this watch. What I can tell you is that if you buy a real DeepSea it will be almost perfect. Dial, hands, letters, case finish .. your replica will have imperfections .. perhaps the date font is not exactly right. Maybe the white letters on the dial are not exactly the right shape as the genuine. The body of the watch will not be the exact same shape as the real Rolex .. these are all part of the hobby. You accept that this is not a perfect copy for 1/30 the price. You simply enjoy it for what it is ..

I originally used the standard mic on the headsets BUT found that it was only strong enough to reliably detect the loudest of my movements .. A25J, A6497, etc .. so I bought this great little condenser mic for around $20 on sale .. NewEgg.com microphone Just to maintain reality, this is not the same as buying a Time-grapher .. KELLO is notoriously twitchy and the author only updates it twice a year, so far. I pull the case back off the watch, and place the mic right next to the balance assembly.

A noob is a short word for Newbie .. a person who is New to your community. The NoobFactory is not just for new people .. it is the name we give to this watch factory. QC pictures .. mean Quality Control pictures .. pictures of your watch Look at the pictures, and tell Mary Yes send it or No, this watch has problems. Movement? I think China Clone will be OK .. but you say you want the best ... order the true Swiss ETA movement .. I do not know what Watch-International asks for this watch .. about $320 US dollars?? She will tell you. Be sure to tell her you are a member of RWG in case she offers a lower price to RWG people.

A good rule to follow is ... If you don't need a supreme artisan for your particular inquiry, then don't try and get The Zigmeister .. he has more than 6 weeks of backlog. If you have a broken non-chrono movement, a loose crown .. hands fell off ... common problems and issues ... use any one of the many forum watch technicians. If you need micrometer-precision lume work, complex chrono movement servicing, a completely custom built watch .. then see Zig. There's a very big difference between needing the police, and needing the A-Team.

The insert is just held in with double sided tape. If you can find a NoobFactory insert with a better pearl, then it's not hard to replace. Of course, the new pearl will not have Zig lume.

I use Kello app for the ipad, and regulate it electronically. My Fiddy is stunningly accurate (+3 sec) .. you probably should not ask a forum watchsmith to make sure they regulate your watch to +/- 3 seconds, since it will only anger them Your Mileage May Vary

There are two main versions of the DeepSea right now. If you sent email to Mary, and ask for the NoobFactory DeepSea, then I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Ask for QC approval photos as well. She will probably ask you if you want Swiss movement or a China clone movement in it .. decide that before you buy.

It's a fantastic rep .. get the AR done and hey .. why not lume .. and enjoy it.

As a side note, there is now a replica with a correctly shaped trapezoid date window instead of the cartel square window.
