  1. I hope he gets better very soon. A great guy.
  2. Today is Fiddy Day, on limited edition Gunny #74
  3. Silicone grease is a waterproof grease used by plumbers and watch people .. it is clear in color and can be purchased at a well-stocked home repair center for a lot less money then if you order it by the ounce at a watch retail store. Silicon is a mineral. I don't think you want mineral powder in your watch
  4. How did you create the cluster of marks on the insert in two locations? That cluster of marks is very similar to a vice mark .. or a locking pliers mark, but there is no physical damage here, only the dots.
  5. You need to use the View New Posts feature, my friend! The dealers will often post new releases to their private areas, and the best way to see those is with View New Posts. To answer your question, Jos Nana (Josh) posted the release info to his dealer area.
  6. I believe that unless you surprise a bear by walking up on it while it's distracted, that they normally just run away on their own as soon as they hear you coming. That's the purpose of a bear bell.
  7. Only one thing creases steel like that crown guard ... it hit a cement floor! Luckily, it didnt land crystal first!

    Akira's 1675

Thanks for sharing these great photos of an amazing build .. but I have to comment .. the Tudor "Home Plate" is 100x more disco/cocaine/1977/Star Wars/leisure suit/white-guy-afro than a GMT ... an original trilogy light sabre should be posed next to a Home Plate
  9. Hi new people .. if you want to learn more about reps, and see amazing examples of forum member's personal pieces, then never pick and choose specific forums to read! Look at the upper right corner of your screen, and select View New Posts .. from that screen you may select Show New Posts since my last visit or New Posts within the last 24 hours I have heard some newbs complain that there is not enough traffic on RWG to be interesting, but this board receives on average 120 new posts every day .. literally hours of reading. If you only read a few select forums, then you are missing the bulk of the interesting photos, tutorials, etc. What most people find is that if they use the New Posts function, they broaden their taste for watches and learn more, too. If you came here for a Rolex and never leave the Rolex area, then how will you ever know if there's a special brand/design out there that will knock you right out of your socks .. you won't know! What is this? Is it a spaceship made from delicious candy?! How will you ever know if you don't read forums outside of your current interests
  10. Use the coupon code (in the image below) at check-out to get the $19 price .. SHIPPED http://www.meritline...---p-55402.aspx true 42Khz ultrasonic, not lame "vibrating" unit. I've bought two in the past and they are good stuff, from my experience. For best results, ignore the 5 minute auto-shut-off and run it a few times in a row. I normally use a 50/50 mixture of water and Windex (window cleaning fluid)
  11. I was referencing the order in which the replica has evolved gen features, not making this claim. I appreciate you mentioning it for newbs, tho, none the less.
  12. Read all you can .. it's fun to learn! Have a great time.
  13. 1) Go to the post box 2) Cross your legs then hop up and down, like you have to pee very badly 3) wail loudly
  14. I am not familiar with the lume artists in Europe. Perhaps you could have BK ship your brand new watch directly to Vacuum in Florida for lume work, and then he would ship it to you when it is done. Ask Vaccum if he also re-finishes cases and bracelets. That would take care of your wish list.
  15. It's such a bad rep that it does not even say Planet Ocean on the case back, let alone having the "globe" anti-counterfeit symbol.
  16. Congrats on your new tool! It sounds great. yoiks! 900 simoleans?! whew ...
  17. Lume work is tricky, and someone who is not at the top of their game makes lumpy, crap lume. I would sent it to Vaccum (Vac's Mod Shop) if you are in the USA .. unless you have something truly insane to lume, like a FM Crazy Hours dial, then it's off the to the Canadian Spa.
  18. Rolex does not AR their sport watch crystals. People who do this, do so because of their own personal wishes, not to make them more accurate looking. If you do anything to a DSSD, have it re-lumed with genuine blue LumiNova .. you will be very happy.
  19. I think DW's watches start at $350 US?
  20. feel free to ask for opinions .. np
