If you buy a complicated piece of micro-machinery from shady Chinese factory you need to SERVICE IT. Please don't be misguided by people recently rolling in from Gen forums .. this is an illegal hobby, run by shady people. Get the watch into your own hands and have it serviced. Then you know it's good.

People are trying to get their money back out of franken watches as they abandon ship and jump onto the TC watch parade.

Wash it in soap and water. Put it in a ziplock bag. Squirt the dry lube onto it and then work the bracelet vigorously. You will see black crud seeping out of every joint. That's machine shop grit. Take the bracelet out of the bag and begin buffing it with a microfiber cloth. The wet lube will evaporate quickly, leaving a coating of Teflon inside the bracelet and give the outside an even sheen. When the lube is dry you can stop buffing. The bracelet should now be silky smooth to flex.If this ten dollar procedure doesn't satisfy you, then you can think about gen bracelets. just remember that gen bracelets aren't full of magic unicorn tears to make them more silky. They are just cleaner and better lubricated.

The liquid portion of the lubricant is only a delivery mechanism. It evaporates completely leaving a dry Teflon coating on the joints.

A properly running a21j, china ETA or Swiss ETA should be serviced every 3 to 5 years to replace the oil as it dries up and turns to gum. If you do that, the watch should last years and years. The a21j is a copy of the very solid Japanese Citizen Watch workhorse. Crappy, questionable "mystery movements" that break like the wind don't (or should not) exist in the reps we buy here. They are relegated to watches you buy on the street from a guy with a suitcase. To get to the trusted dealer list, just go out to the forum main page. The one with the chat box at the top. The 500m rep needs AR coating and superlume. I'd do those before a gen bracelet. Come to think of it .... I did! The trick is to lubricate the bracelet with dry bike chain lubricant. There is a big factory variance on these kinds of things. Just because the dealer's catalog photo is great does not mean you will get a great one, too. This is all variance, and you will get whatever your personal luck brings you.

Untrue. The noob ceramic insert is too curved at the white triangle but the Eurotimez is too flat. Noob has a better pearl. The midcase and bracelet on both are good. I have a noob insert in my Eurotimez dssd and I'm perfectly happy with it. If you want no mods at all and can live with the noob dial then get a noob dssd. If you love the Eurotimez dial then get that watch and the HeV really should not bother you that much. Swap in a noob insert as soon as you can.

For 160 dollars the big question is will you receive an Asia clone or an a21j .. Which kind are you expecting ?
