  1. is it just me, or are you going with a maxi marker fantasy model?
  2. cmon...spill the beans!!! my guess: a 5513 oh wait it's a trick...don't tell me that's your MKII DRSD Nanuq, you're driving me nuts
  3. wow...a nice 6542
  4. niceee... love it some other suggested mods: -vintagize the lugs, sand it down a bit. -a new dial
  5. hmm, I think I see the problem. It's simple really, you can't dissolve diamonds in any solution. For the diamond paste, they are suspended in oil. So while washing it with soap might remove the oil, the diamonds are still there to scratch.
  6. I would like to know this as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the v72 was (with slight modifications) a straight in drop into the 7750 DW case.
  7. no
  8. too much pictures, could you please downsize it? I had to stop this page from loading because my internet has a 60gb cap.
  9. +1, you sold me your wm9 v2!!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim: almost impossible to get now...
  10. you do know that you could outsource cliche making right? just claim you're a dial refinisher.
  11. sourcing the correct fonts? you'd just need high res scans and a lot of work to draw it in vectors... like mine here. an MKIII
  12. That machine in the video would cost you thousands of dollars. is this what you're refering to?
  13. google yuki watch....
  14. for the 1665, you'd want the tropic 39, and yea I think the DRSD uses the superdome, while the great white uses the flat one. The T-19 is a direct fit for 1665, but it's used for the 5513. It's totally up to you though.
  15. Thanks a lot... I'll try that out in the future.
  16. Gen crowns aren't pricey, about 30 dollars for a 703, and just get a rep tube. I just happen to won a 702 for $20 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130445537020&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT I hope it's good, now to get the tube.
  17. how did you take apart the bracelet? using pliers?
  18. It's because they moved the running seconds from 9 to 6.
  19. we're lucky that we don't collect paintings or art of that nature. would you pay millions of dollars for something like this?
  20. If I were super duper rich watch enthusiast, I too would've spent that amount of money on that watch. Pateks make the best sounding minute repeaters, especially the gold cases from my experience listening to them on youtube videos. It's something to dream about, and so is the enamel dial, any enamel dial is beautiful. But what most people don't know is that Patek makes pocketwatches with minute repeater functions and enamel dials that regularly sells in the $15-$25k range, 10 times less than that of the wristwatch version. It's definitely something on my wish list. Heck, put a strap on a pocket watch, it becomes a wrist watch...isn't that what panerai is doing?
  21. Let me get this straight, so the only thing that makes that bracelet valuable is a clasp like this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/50s-Rare-ROLEX-CLASP-PART-BIG-LOGO-6263-6265-6241-6239-/220683794596?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3361c778a4
  22. ufortunately since barely any reps have genuine like bezel assembly, there are no spare parts available. So you could either get an entire bezel assembly and hope that it fits (highly risky), or get yourself a new watch which is what I suggest you do.
  23. OR...you could buy another A7750 if you can swap it yourself when it breaks. It's about $110 ish for the movement alone.
  24. Woooow. I don't know about buying it just for the case, it seems like someone tried to refinish the case but failed to remove the big scratches. The lugs are also severely worn on the bottom side by the end links. And I see some dings on the inner part of the lugs too. Maybe he just bought it for the insert? I think the seller probably knew that it's worthless and sold the "missing" bracelet separately . The guy who bought this thing is an idiot with too much money.
