You're correct. It doesn't come with the 7021. He had it installed as a NOS part. He was selling it because he found the correct roulette datewheel for his watch.

But I am stoked to find a genuine silver date wheel going on a genuine Tudor movement! Pretty much a guarantee that I don't have to deal with alignment issues. Sweeeeeet.

Well... After analyzing what felt like a hundred something Tudor Submariner dates all night. I believe this to be gen now...

so it is possible Rolex made a non-brushed version... Here's proof they at least made one for the 1570 movement. Damn.. now I am really not sure.

So I just purchased a silver date wheel for a tudor and I think it's a rep.... Would like certainty among the experts before I message the seller about it and get a refund. It doesn't have the brushed look to it which is throwing me off. While I have only heard (never seen) that Rolex made non-brushed silver datewheels on a 1675, I have never heard nor seen a Tudor with it either. The font is bold and actually is fairly spot on which is throwing me off. He said it came off of his 7021 which had the ETA 2484. He DID say he "had it installed as a NOS part" which makes sense as 7021's come with roulette wheels. Here's a pic of a gen (the only pic I can actually find of an entire Tudor date wheel), but it's on a ETA 2873. Could be a different DW that came on the ETA 2484? Here's what I got... You speak the truth. I had a 1680 gen dial in a MBW before and the short minute markers bothered the hell out of me. While it had an jmb aligned silver DWO it just didn't look gen. It didn't give off that same gen brushed silver date wheel that I loved on my gen 1675. Those two things pretty much ruined it for me. Here it was... NTB sourced it all and I bought it off him. Amazing build. All it really needed was a gen movement. With gen 93150 and 585 end links too.

Damn.. I just emailed for a price quote on a 1655 case. I don't think I want to deal no more. Will someone pleeeeeease make a decent 1655 case. I really don't feel like spending a $1k on a phong.

If you are picky just grab a modded BP sub-c from Vac. I just picked up my stock BP Sub-C from the mail today and I am definitely impressed. They do suffer from QC issues but it's hard to complain considering I only paid $125 and what a steal! Since my heart is into vintage I will likely only wear this on a few occasions so I won't be upgrading. If I had the funds though a gen would be on my wrist as the size is perfect. I will say IF I were to upgrade (or cared about this watch) I would go through Vac and pay the price. There are definite QC issues when viewed upon close inspection on mine. Lume could be applied much better on both the dial and pearl. The etched crown at 6 is off center. The BP glidelock clasp is crap but it is fixable if you glued on an L shaped piece of metal that allows it to hook on the grooves better. The bezel numbers definitely need the platinum paint mod. Most physical issues can't be seen from the wrist though. It does look like the real deal if you aren't looking at it from 6 inches away and it oozes that gen sparkle. While mine has issues I STILL think it's a steal and it's extremely hard to complain at $125. Edit: add pic.

I wouldn't bother buying another 1655 to compare. The info is all out there. To this day there is no good 1675 or 1655 case (unless you went your route) cause the crown guards are completely off. RA did a nice write up on modding the CG's extensively for a 1675 but it still had issues... Like fitting the correct crown. Let me know when you are ready to sell...

Looks amazing! I can't believe you were able to get this build so fast. This is model is my grail. Could be the angle of the pics but it looks like they drilled the lug holes too far out..?

You can always swap back and sell the gen without losing much (or any at all) . Especially if you got a fair deal on it. May take a hit on the rep dial, hands and bezel on the boards though.

If you are using a gen movement it's pretty much mandatory that you will need gen hands to fit it. No upgrade later! But damn I really want to buy a gen 1675 and and swap dial, hands and bezel to make a 1655. Such a great idea. Marty made an amazing super franken. I imagine he will see this thread sooner or later. But it's pretty much fact you can't fit a sapphire crystal to a 1675 case. In the rep or gen world. But I guess you might be thinking of a 16750 case... Not sure if a dial would fit but worth the research I suppose.

Yeah Yup. The cyclops really shows off the date and dial textures. And it's a beautiful thing too, especially when it's a a gen brushed silver date wheel with a gen matte dial you are looking at. One reason why I prefer no date reps... Well I guess the major reason is the rarity of having an accurate, aligned DWO. Currently building a 1680 with a T39 so I don't magnify the tells... Plus I think it's cool.
