This is why I LOVE my MBW lol. Come rain or shine or swimming for that matter she stays firmly on the wrist, or I wear my tudor one of the 2 lol. Even have to wear a watch during internationals and other sporting events, the trials of having to wear a HRM.

I'm usually too lazy to get my phone out of my pocket unlock it and look, much easier to just glance at my wrist.

Whatches are iconic and a statement as most people have mentioned. They are a symbol of taste. I have a mobile phone which is also a symbol of my appreciation of the finer things, and a sybol of my taste. However funnily enough I use my mobile for what it was designed for MAKING and RECEIVING phone calls and text meesages. I have a digital camera and DSLR camera for taking photos and therefore it stands to reason that I have a WATCH for telling the time, it is alas what THEY were designed for. The High End fashionable designer watch will NEVER die, there will always be people with money who wish to have that symbol of status and style and then there will always be people like us the true conosseuirs of horology, who will always buy fascinating and wonderful timepieces.

1 million USD will get you a studio flat where I live, maybe a 2 bedroom flat that need some work. The new 3 bedroom detached houses just up from me are going for £5-600,000 GBP, and they really aren't nice. The georgian houses just along from me can go for anywhere up to about £3 000 000 GBP so just the cool, $5 500 000 USD. Hahaha times are good, and the prices are still rising, look out london we are catching........FAST

Scottish and VERY proud of it. Father and mothr are Scottish, Grandmother and Grandfather (fathers side) are scottish, Grandmother and Grandfather (mother's side) English (Chritchurch) and Amercian (Virginia) respetively. Great Grandfather was Irish on dad's side. Amazinghow multicultural a family is. Have relations who are from NZ, Aus and SA, from my grandfather (mum's side).

First off Ken, I have to say that I hope I speak for everyone when I say, WE LOVE YOU!!!, in a non heath ledger kinda way. You are of the ilk that we should all aspire to be. I admire you greatly and as you know I was aware of your back problems and am very glad to hear that you will have something to pass the time. I am SURE that your surgery will go without a hitch and that you will be up and going in no time. I have to say the response has been fantastic and I am currently as you will all now gather taking action in the watch ordering portion of this endeavour. I am not saying to anyone to stop donating we need all the help we can get but I am currently persuing avenues to purchase a watch with the fund money. We will all just have to wait and see how it goes................I will keep you updated though seeing as it's your money too lol. Chris
