  1. Ronin, I'll echo the comments above about a different case and tube. Here's a pic of my BK WM9 with a few gen bits (that I sold to another member of the rep world) that BK built new for me, I supplied all the gen bits and he put it all together. Nice collection mate
  2. There's tales on the gen boards of people leaving a watch under a table lamp to charge the lume up and forgetting that the watch is there, and gone back to find the lume going/gone/damaged etc Obviously depending on the length of time its exposed, the wattage of the light, and the proximity to the watch - but yes the lume can get toasted.
  3. BK TW with some gen bits for me.
  4. It does to me too. The dealers won't have much cost to eat as they'll just send all these out to people that buy online and are not members of the rep forums. I won't be rushing to pick one up personally.
  5. Of the watches listed I'd go for the no date Sub. Did someone say Doxa?
  6. Here's a few of them, missing from the pic are a Citizen, Seikos 007, 009 and some G's.
  7. Arsenal (the English one) AC Milan
  8. I took my BK GMT Transformer and went a bit further with it so I could use some gen parts, but as has been said above the gen Explorer 2's and 16710's are very doable in price terms, relatively speaking. I won't go any further with it as the money would be best put into getting a gen.
  9. Maybe you boys in Oz could share info between each other on this subject, surely somebody must know a watch smith that works on gens that may want a little extra moolah. I think Vac, BK, Rex and PB (and any others that I haven't worked with) aren't bad for us boys Stateside.
  10. The title of the thread told me that he wanted to remove/change the insert so I told him the easiest way to do it. Simple really.
  11. Use a hairdryer to soften the glue. GL
  12. I read that thread a while ago too, great pics, tools etc. Most people would have got crucified for doing that for sure.
  13. Seen the all YG in person as a guy I know has one but haven't seen the all WG version except through a store window. Amazing watch but not for me - whether I had a yacht or not.
  14. Chris, congrats mate that's a damn fine watch you have there. Superb build and kudos to the guys involved with the project. You've had a good few weeks haven't you - in watch terms. Wear it in good health mate.
