From what I've read the UPO construction won't accept the bezel (at least not without some serious modification). Your best option is to replace the bezel insert. There's a tread around that explains how to do that (not straightforward but not impossible either).

You won't see any reps ROO with the correct DW position. The rep mechanical movements can't be adapted to make it so. You may be confused with the correct color and cyclops. Don't get too worried about it. On your wrist is very hard to notice the 1-2mm difference.

I wasn't taking that as a criticism, just curious of how the black gen would look like. I'm afraid to go to the AD and lose all respect for this rep That happened with the VC Overseas. The rep dial doesn't come anywhere close to the real deal.

Here you can see a couple of pictures that show a little bit of the dial texture. It's very hard to capture because it changes with the lighting. In real life with the light hitting the numerals and the texture of the dial this rep looks impressive. Closeup

I've seen pictures of the gen silver dial/YG case. I doubt any factory would be able to do that one justice. However the texture of this black roman one is very interesting. I haven't seen this type of texture in any reps before but again I have never seen the gen either. Have you seen the gen black dial or the more complicated burnt colored ones? What about the case finish and bracelet? I wonder if we can find OEM parts for a franken. Being Patek I highly doubt it though.

I'm trying to remove a Radiomir crystal from a 45mm case but it has been very hard to do it. Even with the press the crystal won't move at all. I've checked the clearance from the die and there's room but no matter how hard I push it won't move. I have tried to remove the bezel assembly as well but again very hard and I'm afraid of scratching the case. Any pointers? Has anybody done this before? Thanks

so you went with the Fiddy JV. I found the Rad JV and the buckle as a pain. For the tang buckles the tongue is too fat for the strap and for obvious reasons I didn't want to damage it. I ended up having to machine one to fit.

I've done this build as well. A few comments: - The crystal is excellent. I would not bother with sapphire. The AR is very good. - The crown tube is a little too long. I'm working to reduce it. - The font is too white. I'm trying to get it cream per gen. Other than that the 232 hybrid is perfect. The JV is absolutely the right strap for it. burnz, What buckle are you using? I'm using the 27/20 JV and finding a good 20mm buckle was hard. I had to mod the one I bought.

I hope you enjoy it. Gorgeous dressy watch. Not only it's a very accurate rep but it has a lot of presence. I have only seen the gen in pictures but given the quality this rep would convince many as a real Patek.

I've heard you can get one from an AD but they are very expensive. Why not get APBands (their conversion kits works) and a rep clasp?

Gen: Dial/Hands/Crystal (I have the crown and tube but I need time to install them). The rest is just regular UPO. I have the bracelet and the rubber rep.

I bought a glossy croc out of ebay. The rep is good looking but not close to the gen. I guess you can try to get one of the strap makers get one that looks like the gen but it will be hard to rep the buckle.

I'm using a Canon 7D with EF 28-135mm IS lens, a 14" square light tent and 3 reflectors (one on each side of the tent and one on top). I vary the position of the reflectors and turn one or two off depending on the effect I'm looking for. I shoot exclusively in RAW and do post processing with Photoshop CS4. The RAW processor for CS4 allows for a much better black management then before.
