  1. that's the same as this southerncross-time.com That's very strange though (low res pictures, the lawsuit against making the MM20, hmm) it looks like a scam to me. However even with the low res pictures you can see the caseback is the same as DSNs (check the logo)
  2. Do you have a link? The last time I checked their website was defunct and it routed to one of those spam virus infected places. Edit: Ken Trading is a defunct company that was liquidated and bought by another Japanese company so any "new model" being offered is not the RXW MM20. This website (southerncross-time.com) claims to have the Ken Trading old stock but rumors say this is another replica made with Molnija movements. The interesting part is that southercross-time.com sells this replica for $980.00. Coincidentally that's the price asked by the user at TZ
  3. Panerai won a court order against Ken on the MM20. They stop producing them a long time ago (2007) I think.
  4. I just noticed also that the fonts are not right either. They are kind of faint in comparison to a much whiter gen. This doesn't look gen at all.
  5. I don't see it on the ad though. The frontal pic shows something that looks like my rep.
  6. I'd say this is a rep. Crystal, CG and caseback are not OEM. The case shape and the bezel look a little off too. The dial looks good. Compare with this one http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=165672&rid=0
  7. If I saw that watch on somebody's wrist I'd be scared not curious
  8. I'm not 100% sure but like with any chemicals the binder would react with the lume and harden over time, even if stored in a closed vial.
  9. Thankfully NO That's as fantasy as it comes.
  10. Very nice J. Thanks for the offer.
  11. WOW. Great collection and pictures. Very very nice. Congrats on the work and taste. I'm thinking about one of those Cousteau's for myself.
  12. Just came back from the AD. The 243 is not even close to the gen in person. From the bezel to the brushed finishing it looks a completely different watch. I didn't even recognize it until the dealer mentioned "243". I love my rep but that's not accurate at all.
  13. Thanks. That's a great compliment. This thing is even more impressive in person. I'm working on a video to see if I can capture it better.
  14. I was searching for one for about 10 months and all of the sudden a found both almost at the same time from 2 different sources. Go figure. and yes, life is unfair
  15. Thanks Chief. And thanks to your AR it's even better. There's a second crystal just like this on its way to you for my second franken (black dial).
  16. Gents, one more thing: this is a FRANKEN For those of you that have figured out, kudos. For those that considered it a gen, thank you for the compliment. Like Watchmeister mentioned I'm working on its twin (OEM black dial). So watch this space. The box (complete set with manuals) and dial are OEM. The AR is Chief's. The rest is the cartel rep. Mods that I still need to do: Oil and repolish the bracelet links. Fix the crown so it sits closer to the case. It seems to be an issue with the stem length since without the movement it's perfect. I will try to modify the caseback to add the canon ports. Very steady hand and an engraving machine. C1 on the hands
  17. I'll let the pictures do the talking
  18. AND with macro pictures looking over for more than a moment
