The gen has lume but it's very weak (all of them for that matter) as far as I know. They are no Omega when it comes to lume. It doesn't really make a ton of difference to have it relumed.
The regular Ice Bang comes with what the cartel calls "darken steel bezel" whatever that means. Plus the Evolution has a smooth side bezel where the regular one has that diamond patter on the side like the regular ceramic bezels.
I was under the impression that the All Black crystal should not have AR at all (which it makes the dial almost impossible to see imho). I'd say it looks blue due to 1) being a thick sapphire 2) daylight reflection.
"Beneath the sapphire crystal, the only one without anti-reflection treatment in order to enhance the Black effect of the
I recently bought an Evolution Ice Bang that's suppose to have a Tungsten bezel but it comes with a Titanium one. The result is a lighter and dull appearance compared with the gen.
Is there an economically viable option to coat a Ti bezel with Tungsten (or to machine a Tungsten bezel)? I've heard of Tungsten DLC coating but I'm not sure if it can be done with just one bezel.
Thanks
- Watch - Cartel 2009 model of the Ice Bang - The cartel calls it Ice Bang II but officially it is called Ice Bang Evolution. Basically a V2 HBB with a baton hour markers, Ti bezel (the gen is suppose to be tungsten)
- My crystal
- Veryon strap
The rotor seems engraved just doesn't have the brushed pattern of the V1s.
It really looks like someone took a V2 rotor and put it on the V1. Now it's really strange the other rotor had a blue screw. It seems like some kind of refurbished watch. First they put a rotor that did not match the screw color then a good one but from a different factory. It may not mean anything but definitely not kosher.
it seems to be the same movement with a different rotor. The "Hublot Geneva" is engraved but it looks like the V2 rotor (missing the "brushed" pattern on the original).
1) The H seems stamped not engraved
2) The rotor on the "original" watch had a blue screw and that was strange.
It seems the 28K model (missing the micro regulator) with a stamped bridge and a different rotor
I like it although the H seems crooked.
Folks,
my crystals are sold out but I have received a number of requests for more crystals (I could use one or two as well). I am considering doing another run. How many folks here would be interested?
Either PM me or post here. Thanks
DSN's caseback is nice but far from perfect. I've seen an El for sale on another forum that looked good.
Are there good solid casebacks available for 005's around?
thanks
Now interesting touch on the gen, all the names seems to be the same length (of course not THU). They change the spacing and maybe the width of the font to get all names the same. Nice.
