The hornback works fine with the sec@12 models. No modifications needed.

Be sure to read about replacing the tube. It's not a very simple task.

I'm getting found of the 16600 but I'm not sure if there are any good versions out there. Should I wait for WM9's whenever (if ever) it gets out or there are good options around? Thanks

I find it silly to have the second running on the wrong subdial. If the subdial @9 showed sec markings (even if incorrect) I'd think it would be better to have the sec running on top of the minute counter subdial. I have the sec@12 serviced and it runs like a champ. Finish wise the two are basically the same (I held them side by side).

damn the crown is almost the size of the whole movement. I wonder what the power reserve is? 10 min

The Apollo-Soyuz 35th Anniversary seems like an awesome watch. The price is too high for me but I love the dial and everything else.

well that JV probably costs more than the watch Caseback, relume. Send pics of the CG. There may be simple things to make it better too.

I wouldn't replace the movement. You said you don't want to go overboard. New dial/hands/movement (plus probably crown, CG, lume) etc would be better just to buy parts and build one.

All gens have a single side AR which is very subtle. The rep AR is very low quality and usually very blue. That's a big tell. Most people just remove the AR completely rather than keep the bad AR. I personally prefer to get Chief double AR and remove the outside coat.

- get a G series caseback from DSN - The logo seems too thick but nothing you can do about it. - Can't really see the AR, crown and CG but those are usually mods you would need to do - Lume is probably a good idea - Can't really see well but the cannon pin probably needs modification as well Noisy movements are a pain. Many Asians do that. The Swiss usually do not (at least the ones I own). Not sure if there's anything to do other than replacing the movement. Here's my rep for your reference.
