  1. Beautiful curves on those fonts! Quite voluptuous!
  2. Thanks, George! Been a long time, and it's great to see you posting still! I've had a few inquiries into the parts used for this build, so I thought I'd include the ingredients for fun... -Old 111j case, fully reshaped by w0lf; lugs drilled by Zig -H Factory crystal -DW 201/A caseback -Custom fabricated CG; a good friend of mine made 10 of these and a few of us got lucky as recipients! -Gen(?) crown (one of the old Turkish ones) -Custom fabricated crown tube -Rolli/FGD dial -Rolli/FGD hands set -Swiss 6497-1 -Pre-V lug bars -Dirk strap with sewn in Logo buckle Given the nature of the case and especially the CG, I am not sure I could ever duplicate this one again...
  3. Yessir; it's got a very nice tone to it, and it's just getting better and better with time. I love it!
  4. Did I mention that I love the finish of this dial?
  5. One more Big Crown for the list (sorry for the low quality cell phone pic)...
  6. There are no swan necks on genuine 000 and 005 movements if I recall correct. I think they use OP I and OP II movements?
  7. Following in ogladio's footsteps...
  8. Absolutely gorgeous! The results speak for themselves!
  9. Maybe it's a matter of translation and what not, but I don't think any of us are in the position to 'demand' anything. We can ask... Nicely. And if Rolli is willing to listen to constructive criticism about his dials (not criticism against his character), then maybe that is something he can consider. I know that he and FGD have been working on these projects for a very, very long time; I am very thankful that they are offering these dials to us forum members for our own personal watches. Yes, I am an indirect recipient of a 201/A dial, and yes, I am very pleased with it. I do realize that there may be details and minutiae on this particular 000 dial in which some individuals may view as incorrect (and they very well may be; I am not as well versed in modern Panerai as I would like to be, so I won't comment on that), but if we want the dial offerings to continue, I think we can be a little gracious and respectful to someone who is providing us as a whole with something to improve our watches as a kind gesture and not because they are obligated to. I would sure hate to have the door closed on us collectively because things went sideways while discussing fine details. I think a little gratitude can go a long way... And if a dial isn't to your liking, simply don't buy it. I think one thing to keep in mind is that production over the years and across model references have some interesting and crazy variations. I give Rolli and FGD a lot of credit for not only making the attempt to take on a project of this magnitude (and for so many different models), but for really knocking it out on the dials that they've done thus far.
  10. Not quite... Picked it up after totaling our 2014 E350...
  11. Thanks, gents! Really appreciate the kind words! The 201/A has been spending a LOT of time on my wrist it seems! All my other watches are offsite and stored away, so this one has been getting some miles on the clock, so to speak Have to say though, I've really been enjoying it; even if I had my other watches here with me, this one would still get it's fair share of exposure! Think that speaks volumes, considering Admittedly, my interest in watches in general has somewhat waned over the past year or so; like anything else in life, things tend to go in cycles and there are lots of peaks and valleys. With some recent purchases and work on long term projects, I am feeling that old interest start to spark up again.
