  1. The 5th generation has the wrong proportions- Dial, crystal and bezel are all slightly too large and the He valve is not positioned correctly. The 4th generation is not perfect out of the box with the small details, but is a good basis for modification and is very easy to work on As such, it gets my nod...
  2. Yes- Being in the U.S. Ofrei has been good to me. However, I only had to source the dial and hands from them. If you're in Europe, Cousins as Pugs suggested is a good source. The bezel, bracelet and datewheel were all sourced elsewhere via private/non-commercial sale and for a bit less than what retail would have cost It pays to shop around...
  3. Those close up shots look good. I think you'll benefit greatly with the new lens...
  4. 78350/19 with 571 ends is correct for a 6263/5.
  5. Gotta go 4th generation. It's the one that accepts genuine parts, has the He valve in the right position, etc:
  6. 3717-01 is a must have in my opinion...
  7. Great post and excellent guide that accurately discerns the differences and variations between versions. I pulled out my Blacksteel V2 and noticed that according to the lug stamp, mine is manufactured in 2016, as per your guide Everything you mentioned on the V2 is present on mine, except that the BS seems to have the brass colored sub dial tubes. Visually, I love my V2 Blacksteel; and so far, the movement has been running strong. I have a feeling that your pictorial will be a large help for many. Thanks for this contribution to the forum.
  8. I agree- I've had sucess with Polo already on a hard to find item. I also have him looking for another difficult to find piece as well He's been great and a pleasure to work with...
  9. Zigmeister did a Hamilton 921 swap into a Fiddy case; it was not a straight swap, however. The hands are not a direct fit, so the pinions have to be modified. Also, the case has to be milled to fit the slightly larger movement. More details can be found here.
  10. WM9 crystal height is likely going to be just a touch shorter than gen; when I upgraded my WM9 to a gen 295C, I also switched to a H2 gasket as it was necessary to fit with the gen bezel assembly. There was a bit of a difference...
  11. Very true. I had to remove a permanent link from my bracelet to get it to fit my wrist right...
  12. Looks Great! I love the color and the raw edges...
  13. From my experience, both had the same functional result. But, who knows? Definitely worth a try...
  14. R- That's a threesome I wouldn't mind being a part of! Think I need to definitely add a Spitfire to the collection!
  15. Just PM me your shipping info. I'll get it in the mail to you...
  16. Wayward- I tried both; they both gave similar results in function, but in the end I used the rep set up as it had a better and more prominent click sound.
  17. K- I have a gen cyclops if you want it- Left over from this project...
  18. Well, I wasn't sure if you were aware of the screw down crown or not. And I certainly didn't want to insult your intelligence either. Glad it was a simple fix
  19. Here are a few I took with my stock lens when I first got my EOS. No idea what lens it is (aside from being an 18mm - 55mm zoom that came with the camera): Not bad for no frills, I suppose...
  20. I don't want this to come across the wrong way... But I'm assuming that you've unthreaded the crown from the tube, correct?
  21. For today: 2201.50 Planet Ocean ------ Hugo Boss button down ------ Diesel Zathan 764 Lab: 328 Ca: 2005
  22. Just a short vid clip on how the gen bezel on my PO rotates (since you asked)... Hope this helps... //ubi
