  1. Lello, I'll be needing 2 date wheels if you still have some left over. Thanks for your time and hard work on this project! Regards, DuDro
  2. Thanks for the tunes! I'll be listening to it in the background as I attempt a "keyless works fix"...Wish me luck!
  3. Hey Pugs...Then what's this... I borrowed this image from this thread http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...&hl=keyless
  4. Just to be clear....I'm doing this for my own collection. I currently do not have plans to take requests from other members. IF everything turns out well and IF I have time, I may consider accepting requests....We shall see...
  5. After compiling enough tools to now become dangerous, I've decided to tackle my own AR coating project! I have to admit that I'm a bit nervous about this, but the venture into the unknown makes it all the more exciting. I just hope that in the end, the results are positive and I will be awarding myself a nice set of AR coated reps. For this project, I've decided to separate the coating into two groups: 1) Group A will have double sided coating with a heat bake/curing to impart maximum durability, and 2) Group B will have a single sided coating with a minimal level of heat curing so that the cyclops lens does not come off. I will be experimenting on the temperature for Group B so that the adhesive on the lens is not compromised. The exact temperature has yet to be determined, so "my guy" will need to "play it by ear". I trust the guy. He has a PhD in Physics and runs his own optical engineering lab with over 30-years of experience. And now onto the guinea pigs...errrr....I mean subjects for my first run... The Group: Group A: Group B: The existing coating on the UPO will first be removed to avoid any issues that may arise. I will post some photos of the group with the crystals removed for a "before" shot later this weekend. The crystals are scheduled for drop-off on Monday morning, and I should have them back within a week. I need to give some credit to chieftang and his thread for being a great resource for this project. My goal is to have my watches turn out as nice as the ones he did. Stay tuned...
  6. If the lume is "outside of the lines", can you remove it and fix it? I noticed on the dial above that the lume at the 30-second marker on the sub-dial is a little off. I ask because some of the lume dots on my 113G are a bit off and outside of the little, black circles. Can this be corrected without ruining the dial and the little circles? Let me know what you think...Thanks!
  7. I'll 2nd that! One my favorite daily beaters!
  8. Does anyone have a shot that shows the results of the single-sided coating on a crystal with a cyclops lens?
  9. Nice...Where did you buy it from?
  10. A beautiful morning in the Nation's Capital... I'll be taking this with me to the pool later this afternoon!
  11. Thanks for sharing...Are any of the Daytonas Swiss powered?
  12. Thanks for the replies, but what is this style called? Aviator strap?
  13. Have you noticed one arm getting bigger than the other? Nice looking watch-strap-buckle-combo!!!
  14. For the life of me, I cannot remember what these straps are called...(See Below) (Image borrowed from Davidsen) Any recommendations on a good source?
  15. I believe the 1st one is for a 40mm watch with a 22/20 strap...
  16. Agreed...A Double-:yucky:-:yucky:
  17. Looks nice...but WHY-oh-WHY can they NOT install the taller center pin?!? If they are piecing together the movement, it doesn't seem that much more difficult to fix this issue on this movement. For the price, I would rather buy one from TWP or Davidsen...Just my thoughts...
  18. Reminds of the old saying, "It's not the fool that asks, it's the fool that gives."
  19. Ok...After scanning through this loooong thread, I don't think the "sunken date wheel" question was ever addressed? Does this "new super rep" still suffer from the sunken date wheel? Or, did I miss this in the thread somewhere...
  20. AGREED! This jerky needs to be stopped!
  21. I've added "that So-Cal seller" to my "Favorite Sellers" list. I've been watching his auctions and will be making another gen purchase soon!
