To be honest mate... If the factories offered a finish like that we would all be modding or buying gens ! Rep factories do make better movements than this for sixty bucks or less mate.. they just sell them for more Which is a totally different debate

I like the straps in terms of build but I really dont like how shiny they look.... what causes that? Oiling? Some sort of Lacquer?

There are plenty of reasonably priced homages with a vintage look... 6152 or 6152/1 ie with or without CG... You could try asking HikeUSA he does some nice stuff along those lines which he might do for you... you can also get Homage stuff from Getat and Jacksontse at good prices Or there is a really nice Franken 40mm that Al12 is selling... its the MBW model with a gen dial etc

I certainly aint seen a decent lume on any unmodded versions.... I think Pbad was knocking out a few modded versions a while back on RG. As for PAMs.... the only real options in PVD/DLC is the 26K and 360 both of which have flaws that might bother you once you get to know the watch.. Other than that its a case of getting it done yourself to a modded model of your choice... for example the 000 looks nice DLCd and many gen owners have done the same themselves..

Whenever I travel my watches are with me.... I will always have anything of value in my hand baggage or pocket (yes, no matter the size), it never leaves my view .. Cameras, Jewellery, etc If you dont then you have no one to blame but yourself when it goes walkies... You cant trust no f**ker, no time, no where... IMHO
