Turkish: me, hold tight. What's that? Tommy: It's me belt, Turkish. Turkish: No, Tommy. There's a gun in your trousers. What's a gun doing in your trousers? Tommy: It's for protection. Turkish: Protection from what? "Zee Germans"?

Thats kind of you to say mate... and especially so given your standing here and your reputation as a forum member..... Thank you -
I preferred 'Ze Germans'

The V2 if the factory is so minded will take as long as it does to sell the V1..... Usually a month or so.... Given we as buyers are only a small proportion of the dealers market.... factories will usually work initial production numbers from 250-500 maybe less in this case given they already have the basic parts in production for other models The same thing happened with say the 250... only thing was when they made one improvement... one other detail got worse... In that case it was the silver to the sub hands and the lume..

F is being very discreet and I thank him for that but I must admit I am the guy that sold him the watch ..... to my embarrassment... I must admit I have owned a few HBs and my checks for these particular models were to check all the lug screws etc and with finger pressure check the CB as well as date change, +/- etc. As i dont have the tools for this type of caseback I have never bothered to open them though with PAMs I do I have never considered any rep I own to be waterproof... when I first got into this hobby and when I decided a watch was a keeper I would ask the modder to WP the watch but given even after paying extra for that I still never trusted them as being WP ... it seemed a silly thing to do... not that I did that in this case..but I never wore it around water etc nor do I with any rep... I was even thinking that today as I took off my watch to do the washing up... I think its important that this thread is seen by as many as possible, who dont already know, to highlight the fact that even from the best regarded trusted dealers... what you read aint what you get... More importantly the manner in which these sort of issues are dealt with only add insult to the frustration of discovering the issue in the first place... I would however like to publicly apologise to F for selling him the watch with this fault ... PS - Esteemed...... thats a pun I guess going by the watch -
The 88 will appear soon though none of these will be GMT movement accurate

LOL ! I had the new 177 and found the AR pretty close to gen mate just not as strong... I dont think that will improve IMHO but I cant say I recall any blue unless the latest M is different...but it might be the gen M has blue if thats the case... many gens do... its just the old rep AR were cheap, and either to strong and the wrong shade of blue You can always AR yourself once you got it or rather get a modder to Uwe can do a decent coating in the EU and someone like Vac or Rex in US or Taka in Far East

Very nice mate.... Great work But its in the wrong section
-
Interesting that the CB is for a 297....
-
Still dont get it though.... What makes him so special? apart from his bad acting and a face like the bloke from 'Kung Fu' ?
-
I remember seeing this clock or one like it plus an Analogue style one at Legoland in Norway They were massive !! .... Its all fantastic work.... in fact even though I was there for the kids I think I had a better time !! Totally mesmorising....
-
No No No mate dont listen to Ocean..... he has escaped from an institution !! :) Keep the gen .... it dont get better than that when it comes to PAMs No matter the model.... Ocean... any reason AR is holding you back on a 177? Because if another comes out (not sure it will given there are 2 new versions out) it will have AR... if you dont like AR then it can be removed pretty easily or changed if its the quality you dont like mate
-
Both have the Panerai and Logo engraving but are different shape and size.... The MX is a buckle produced by OP a few years back as a retro style to the PreVs

PAM 112 -- Should I just flip a coin or is there a clear winner.
PeteM replied to cdigi's topic in The Panerai Area
Personally the movement isnt as important in terms of looks as the watch on your wrist...if thats what you are considering If you did show someone the back of it.... and they know enough to spot a fake movement then it dont matter which you have... The dial to me is more important and especially the lume -
Unfortunately if he does his buckles are only MX rather than PreV and his PVD ones are almost polished... If you keep your eyes out and are very patient you can get them cheap... eBay, Risti VP etc I know one member recently who picked one up for $80 !! He beat me to it by a few minutes !! The guy selling it advertised it as 'Strap & buckle Unknown' !! Remember dont worry about the strap size etc or condition just look for the buckle.... SS or PVD ... Just consider the price the rest to make it correct.for your model.. is easy and not as expensive
-
Do you mean the correct PreV Logo buckle, sewn in type... ? I have never seen one of these... a correct one that is... There is RFs MX buckle or DSNs screw in... neither correct for PreV
-
All that matters is you like them... congrats mate But I must agree with the other guys mate Try the 26K or the new 219M Please though, if you do, make sure you are clear on the models you want when you order If you like the RH watch on your left then why not go for one of the other latest Noob or Hublot factory reps I think you will be even more impressed with the feel and look of them as well as the lume... If you are not sure then post here before you order and we can answer any of your questions
-
Glad to hear..... now enjoy it
-
First off mate.... sorry to hear that.... Does the hand look complete? Does anything look broken... because if it is the first thing to do before it goes to a watch repairer is get a replacement.. Got any pics? Next thing is where are you? Then maybe we can advise on quickest remedy options... If it has just fallen off then you might be able to find someone local... but first tell us where you are
