I assume the reference to caves is something in the film.... so how many times have you seen it now....? As for the Avatar.... maybe.... but rather a poof than a bunch of pikeys....

Thanks B... Probably my eyes but the dial looks to have a water stain on it.... above the handstack and below the 12.... plus on the top/edge of the minute hand frame... But basically this watch was abused.... then probably bought cheap and refurbed to turn a profit?

I didnt but someone else did.....there was an inner rehaut/ slip ring that held it in place as it didnt fit the case properly without it.. And I think possibly it was a concious effort to reduce the risk of damage to the crystal as we have seen historically with these...

This saddens me to say it but... +1 I find it better to be a Risti within the rep scene.... that way I can focus on what made OP so much of a great marque rather than where it is now... I think a lot of that can be seen in attitudes of some guys who just want the current rep fodder from the factories to meet their needs of the modern (wannabe) Ristis.. Or am I being too cynical?

I was wondering if you guys had experience of brand new members requesting to be your friend on RWG.. I had a few in the past... a good while back... I had one yesterday.... from a new member with no posts... no nothing I checked his profile and a couple of senior members were showing as his friend.... I guess because they hadnt selected the option to aprove friend requests..? I aint got a problem with guys doing that at all..... I aint got many friends in real life so the more I have on here the more liked I feel Seriously though.... I wonder is this 1) A sad guy like me wanting to be loved 2) Someone looking to scam other members.... by building a profile with known members he might make potential buyers think he is legit... 3) A banned member who I know, re-entering through the back door or something else? I know if it were 3) I would know before hand though I have sent this guy a polite message... not had a reply yet though.. Any one with similar experiences or knowledge.... that would care to share

Love the leather mate..... needs more PAMs though I am not so sure I would want to trust those straps after some wear to keep the case closed or prevent it from popping open... maybe one of those clasp buckles behind the handle would give some more security... sorry just my humble opinion mate.... does look nice though... pillows look comfy too

I was referring to the construction method used by OP (I missed out a word)- Here is Extract from Barts original thread Manufacturing the Dome Crystals for PAM 212 and the larger PAM 127 Okay fellas, I thought I would pass along the information I have learned on the latest 1:1 crystal project. Below are the steps that Panerai's sub contractor uses to make one of their crystals. The biggest hurdle, I am told, is the set labeled number 5 above. If the second mold is not lined up perfectly, the whole crystal is considered a 'reject' and is a waste of product. In mass manufacturing like this, a loss of over 5% can be disastrous to the bottom line. This is why (I believe), this project has never been completed to anyway near 1:1 proportions with genuine sapphire. ***** This is how a mineral crystal is made: Obviously, the mineral Crystals are easier and far cheaper. But they will break easier.

If I were choosing I would go with the 005 mate.... mainly as it is generally better in terms of the CG and dial and its a closed CB However the NF crystal and case are loads better... So buy both and mix and match I think you will also find plenty of revisions coming to most current models from the factories...
