  1. Only way I could find to contact them was through ebay! Try this username: thediamondcastle
  2. As far as I know the SA bezels are pressure fit on the reps not like the screwed in ones on the gens. The problem with this is that you will not be able to remove the bezel, you'll have to cut it off and that's quite hard without damaging the case. I wanted to fit a gen bezel on my franken SA too but the work involved just doesn't justify it. I don't know where you got the bezel from but Diamond Castle might be able to get you the tension ring, not sure about this though. Best of luck with your project!
  3. This is a lovely watch, honestly I don't know why I haven't picked one up yet! Wear it well!
  4. There are so many flaws on this one that I don't even know where to start. 1. Wrong case 2. Wrong crown and pushers 3. wrong dial 4. Wrong seconds hand (the SA doesn't have the B hand) 5. Wrong bezel pearl 6. Wrong engravings on the caseback 7. Wrong date font 8. Wrong subdial placement 9. Seconds at 6 Missing hour hand (might be placed under minute hand though).
  5. Thank you very much for your support guys, really appreciate it. This is my way of giving back a bit to both of these communites that have helped me delve deeper in my horology passion. We use these forums on our own benefit its only fair to give something back. Thanks once again to all for your support and willingness to help.
  6. Did you order extra links with your watch? I'm sure you'll need extra links for your wrist size. If you have any troubles getting extra links for your bracelet give me a shout. Breitling links are connected through screws, so you'll need a small enough screwdriver. You might also need a push tool (or something with s pointy small head) to do adjustments on the clasp. I'm not sure about the Rolex procedure as I don't own any Rolex, but I'm sure some member will help you.
  7. Replica (Not sure if this is a trusted dealer here or not but I'm sure you can find it on the trusted dealers too) Genuine

B49 -- ETA 2896 (Generic 2896 picture) Specifications: Movement Type: Automatic Mechanical Base Movement: ETA 2896 Power Reserve: 42 Hours Complications: Big Date Watches using this caliber: Cockpit. Note: At least some of the ETA 2892 movements used in Breitling chronographs have been modified by the addition of a Chronograph module by Dubois/Depraz. It may seem odd, with so many different Breitling calibre numbers, that in reality, Breitling (apart from quartz calibres), mostly use only 4 movements. These are: ETA (previously Valjoux) 7750 ETA 2824 ETA 2834 ETA 2892 The ETA/Valjoux 7750, is currently the ONLY integrated chronograph movement used by Breitling. The remainder are all automatic movements with calendar complication. The ETA 2892/A2 whilst being a non chrono movement, is used by Breitling having been fitted with a modular mechanical chronograph module by Dubois/Depraz. The ETA 2892 A2/DD is used because of it's very small dimensions... even with a chronograph module fitted, it is one of the smallest chronograph movements in existence. It is the movement that is used in the more complicated chronographs, because its modular construction allows the fitting of other modules by Breitling Chronometrie, ie, moonphase, month, year, season etc. It is capable of being used as a QP (quantieme perpetual, or perpetual calendar) movement. You can always recognise a Breitling Chronograph fitted with the 2892, because of a 3mm offset between the crown, and the pushpieces. Some Breitling Chronometrie modifications also permit the 7750 to be fitted with some additional complications, though not as easily as the 2892A2/DD. The other two ETA movements 2824/2834 are used for the non chronograph modules, and are capable of being fitted with day/date modules, and other complications, where necessary. 9. +1 ohh well now seriously... this new year I'm going to... 1. Eat less crap 2. Work out more

  11. Merry Christmas everyone and a new year full of Panerai joy!
  12. I really want this watch but as said before I'm going to wait for a better coating, if this is anywhere close to the skyland V1 is a nightmare and from what I've heard they come from the same factory as the skyland V1 so the coating is probably the same.
  13. Good thing I didn't see that one or the divorce papers had been served just in time for christmas hehe Have you guys noticed the rest of the watches they sell some really nice watches around there actually. Have a look.
  14. Aparently these are the real thing.. just without the breitling insignia. Can you get a Cosmonaute for $3k? Can you please tell me where? Anyways I didn't say they were cheap in fact I considered them quite expensive but I just found interesting the fact that they are using old stock breitling movements and parts to launch another "brand".
  15. Why don't you get a rep bracelet and try coating it and wearing it for a month or so see how the coating holds before you coat a gen. I think that would be the best idea.
  16. Well I was looking in the forums and didn't find these anywhere but if it has been posted before please forgive me or close the thread. While surfing today looking for a strap I came across something quite interesting, although quite expensive these apparently use NOS breitling movements and parts and are rebranded as Aviation watches. They look pretty much exactly like the breitling models but without the brand. Quite interesting offer in my opinion. Has anyone bought one of these before? Any thoughts on the overall quality of the watch? Have a look: http://gnomonwatches.com/Aviation.htm Thanks and Happy Holidays!
  17. I'm no expert by any means but will leave what "I think" I know about this. FAUX PR is one that doesn't work, you have the graphic but the pointer doesn't move, even if the watch movement is automatic and has itself a power reserve. I beleive I've seen one IWC with reserve working, obviously this wasn't the 7 days but it would be moving, can't really remember where but I'm sure you'll find some of the best replicas in any of the trusted recommended dealers on the forums. All the best, R
  18. Hi Lani, Fantastic set of photos, beautiful work. Having done some photography myself (never macro though) I was wondering 2 things, first witch macro lens did you use, every picture looks extremely sharp and looks from a very good quality lens. Second is how did you light your subject, did you use a lightbox with macro ilumination or did you use a traditional bounced speedlight? Thanks, Rod
  19. Well I think he obviously forgot he had them on?! Nice name and nice avvy btw Another Met fan
  20. Scary indeed... One thing is for sure, if I ever decide on buying a gen Skylander I wont even think about Internet Auctions or Dealers. AD will be the only way to go and will probably have to certify it with breitling too
  21. I absolutely love it on the turby stripe, great combination!
