I think lookout or a Davidson PAM 127 on the boards. You can always swap the crystal for whatever Marlin22 is using these days (it's $150 extra to have Marlin upgrade to the "best" crystal when he mods your 127 into a nearly identical to gen rep). -A

Got my Cali today! The dial is a stunner and the strap reaches to the end of the block! On the real, this is a lot of leather Special thanks to 997s for the sale & Mike on a bike for barking on it. @eduardor - thanks for the info about the gen insert. Just pulled the trigger on a gen NOS 16660 insert that I hope to put in play. Will order the TC bracelet, hands and dial soon. Looking to bring this baby up to snuff. Thanks again for the inspiring post

Beautiful day in the sun! I'd like to ask about your crystal. I have an Ultimate Sea Dweller and my crystal is flat where yours seems slightly domed. Is that an aftermarket crystal?

Back with those crisper pics for CG assessment. This is an Ultimate SD with gen crown & tube, plus BK DWO. 1. Should I work the CG like you did on your SD? 2. Do you think the crown should sit more flush with the body? 3. Why does my lume suck so bad, particularly on the hands? You might be able to see on the lume shot that my pearl is a little mangled near the bottom. I think I'm going to follow your lead on a TC dial (dial lume is decent but dial has some scratches - not pictured), hands and bracelet. Are you happy with your gen insert? It looks the business to me and that would solve my pearl prob. Thanks for your patience and replies!

Thanks for the post! I have what I believe is an Ultimate SD (recently purchased from IRolexU) with gen crown and tube, BK date wheel overlay. At first I was thinking catch and release - but I've started to grow fond of it. I wonder if my crown guards need to be reshaped, can you tell from this pic? Nice gen like feel to the watch, other than the faint lume on the hands (and to be fair the dial doesn't glow as brightly as your torch like lum).
