I have a hard time thinking of watches as investments - unless of course, you are talking about a real rarity, which of course, you will not know it is a real rarity or its appreciated value for a long time as Nanuq said. I prefer to think of watches more along the lines of man jewelery and something to pass through the generations like a family heirloom. Generations down the line will reap the appreciation value if there is some. -

Couldn't agree more. Nice job guys I don't think Eddie would have ever tried to pull one over. Not how he operated. I suspect, as has been mentioned, that his supplier screwed up. Both versions were available readily at the time and indistinguishable unless you opened up the back

I've got an 02A in the perfect Pre-V case so my plan is to swap that into a Jimmy case and use the Pre-A 02 dial and then use the other case to build my 201 in... I have been looking at alternative Pre-V cases and haven't found a source....patience is the key and look at the resale section for that old school E or F series 111
