I was taking some shots of this Genuine Seiko and was thinking of flipping it but after shooting it and wearing it today, I'm going to hold on to it
A little History of the 7002-7001:
The 7002 Series of Seiko Watches came after the 6309 finished in 1988, and ran through to 1994. They have slimmer cases, than Seiko's earlier divers, and this slim fit continues today. Even the Cal. 7002 movement provides the base for the current 7s26 movement. There is a lot of reference material available on the net, and you can go here to date Seiko Watches - (For example, the Watch movement number: 7002, entered with the Watch serial number: 480796 of our 6309 gives a Production date: August, 1994). Mine dates to 1991.
SPECIFICATIONS

Mine has a new Xtal and new set of hands but original dial. It also sports a new Z22 Dive Strap. Mine is also the Japan case model or the equivilent of the "J" series models of today.
