  4. Sorry to hear that Maciek. I've been there and it is never easy. They are integral members of the family and leave a void when they go. Here is one of mine, my puppy Thea
  5. Switched to the 5218-202A for Saturday Night
  6. I was taking some shots of this Genuine Seiko and was thinking of flipping it but after shooting it and wearing it today, I'm going to hold on to it A little History of the 7002-7001: The 7002 Series of Seiko Watches came after the 6309 finished in 1988, and ran through to 1994. They have slimmer cases, than Seiko's earlier divers, and this slim fit continues today. Even the Cal. 7002 movement provides the base for the current 7s26 movement. There is a lot of reference material available on the net, and you can go here to date Seiko Watches - (For example, the Watch movement number: 7002, entered with the Watch serial number: 480796 of our 6309 gives a Production date: August, 1994). Mine dates to 1991. SPECIFICATIONS Movement 7009a / 17 Jewels Non-hacking and quickset Date only Feature 21'600 bph WR Rating: 150m Evolution 'Slimmed Down' Case Width: 43mm (w/ crown Lug to Lug: 45mm Height: 13mm Screw Down Crown Seiko Z22 Dive Strap or Bracelet Crystal Material: Mineral Xtal 40 Hour Power Reserve The 7002 was not that popular when it was released, I think because the 'day' feature was dropped, but with the short production period, not that many are around - it is predicted that this model will be increasingly sought after(and increasingly pricey to boot). Mine has a new Xtal and new set of hands but original dial. It also sports a new Z22 Dive Strap. Mine is also the Japan case model or the equivilent of the "J" series models of today.
  7. It should have the Panerai, Panerai Decorated bridges. Your movement is more in line with an "H" series or greater PAM. Since 127 was a special edition "E" Series model, here is a shot of a genuine 127 caseback
  8. Some models (most of Davidsen's) the lug holes are such that really thick straps like SC straps will rub....
  9. Let me quess....Is it a Davidsen model? Not much you can do other than get a strap with a thinner profile at the case side. 3-4MM max. The issue is the strap thickness - it rubs against the case side. Probably nothing to do with getting wet there....
  10. Did you and Dani get a package deal SWEET
  11. I like the current versions better, especially the SOSF
  12. The 20 and 18 denote the size at the clasp end, so no they would take different clasps. 18MM or 20MM. Lug end is the 22(MM)
  13. Explorer II is my favorite as well - both vintage and modern. Hope to add my "Great White" to the scene soon BT Plus a vintage project has been kicked off....
  14. I thought I should chime in and give my $.02. I know the dollar is low compared to the Euro but I am seeing some extraordinary prices being asked for some resale pieces. I am all about paying more for something rare but there are a few examples in the Member Trade are right now that are off the charts IMO. Base Watch new $500 - maybe $600 if bought in the last batch... Cyclops $50 - not installed Crown: $70 - not installed That is about $700 of product and the asking price started at $1400 If I buy a new car and drive it off the lot, chances are I can't recover my purchase price in an immediate resale. A rep watch, should never appreciate that much - genuines are different. I personally spend a lot of money modding my keepers. If I were to sell one, I do not expect that I would recover the full cost of my total investment. And then this week a member sells a much coveted 7753 based model for a practical $550 - more like in IMO As a capitalist in America I am all for a free market economy but lets not try to take advantage of our fellow forum members. If MFG's see us paying these prices for resales, what do you think is going to happen to the average price of a new release Let's not forget what RWG is all about folks
  15. He scammed a bunch of people and dissapeared
