  1. Thanks Freddy, any idea where I can locate a set of the mounting screws since this movement did not come with any?
  2. Hi Guys, I need a little help/guidance as to mounting a gen 1560 movement to a mbw polex 5513 case. I assume the beveled screws will do the trick but this is new territory for me, never been past eta in this realm so any help pointing me in the right direction would help. I have the gen dial and movement burning a hole in my eyes waiting to get into that case. Thanks in advance
  3. Really need a set of screws to clamp a gen 1560 movement to a case. Does anyone know where to get, or have? Thanks J
  4. Where's the get together?? I had a lot of patience with this kind of build. had a gen 14060 but was bored by it (and need the cash), so I sold it a few months back, then got the itch to start building again but wanted to go the gen parts route which as we all know takes patience in order to find good deals on parts. I know the original polex mbw cases are supposed to take gen movements with no modding to the inside of the case, so I'm hoping for a smooth build. If not, like I said, gonna get a yuki 5513 case
  5. thanks E, still cant believe I got a gen dial and movement and box for well under a grand.
  6. thanks guys. yeah it still glows pretty well. looking forward to getting this build together
  7. Hey Guys, I recently got my hands on a gen movement and dial for a seriously great deal. Service dial with white gold markers but i'm fine with that. Once I have the movement I will drop them into my original mbw case and hopefully will be all good, otherwise I will probably get a Yuki case. Anyway, my question is, I have a source for gen hands and I have limited knowledge of lume material so I was hopeing someone can tell me what is used on this dial. And anyone know the production year roughly? Thanks as always

  13. Despite having built many frankens in the past, the length to cut a stem for the crown alludes me. I have an mbw 5513 case, eta movement and a gen crown/tube. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

  17. Guy lives in a 6 bedroom apt, loaded. Hey may not know which model it is but I'm sure he's no fool
  18. Was in the elevator with a guy in my building who was wearing a gen 62 5513 in mint condition. Since we've chatted before and I've seen him wearing a platinum day-date and his wife wearing a gold daytona, I mentioned the watch. He had no idea what the model was and just complained about it. My point is, to be in possession of a historical timepiece and not know what the hell it is is a real shame. And it annoyed the [censored] out of me.
  19. When are we going for a ride? What cha riding?
  20. Nah. Already done. Cat wouldn't even let me give him money. Amazing
  21. Been living in NYC my whole 37 years and today she shocked me. I drive a Ducati gt1000, bikes worth about 14k. Today, for the first time ever, I left my key on the seat!!! I got to the bike hours later and there was a note on a napkin from a dude who had the key. Instead of taking off he left his number and helped a brother out. SHOCKING. going to get it right now. Guess there's still some good honest people left in the world.
