  1. YES, praise the DOOBIE!!!! oh, you said ubi, yeah, guy kicks some serious a**!!!
  2. maybe chief, but that pearl looks off, especially after staring at my gen up close, too much metal. who know's, i'm no expert
  3. gen, no doubt, but i think that insert may be aftermarket
  4. first off, the canal street guys dont have them laying out anymore, so dont be suprised if you dont see any. just ask, and they'll break em out. some might say no if they think you're a cop, but you'll do ok.
  5. right, incorrect if you look at any gen gmt master II, the hand stack is hour gmt minute seconds
  6. serg, just to chime in, although that stack will work for that movement, that is not the correct stack in the case of a gen gmt. should be hour, gmt, minute, seconds. you may want to get the modded gmt movement that has the correct stack, being that its going in that tw case, might as well do it right
  7. nice work bro, relume looks amazing, did you do the lume yourself?
  8. yeah, again, this was probably about 8 months ago, and i didnt know what the hell i was doin
  9. cobalt bit is what i used. this is an old problem that i just let sit awhile. i have done tons of successful mods since, this one bit me in the ass though, and since i have basically the entiire watch just siting around in parts, would be nice to get this piece out so i can wear the f**kin thing
  10. what happened, just to clear things up, is right as the bit was about to go through, all the way, a tiny point sticking out on the inside of the lug, it jammed and snapped off. now it is STUCK, and i mean stuck
  11. freehand, but i suppose moving to a press would be a better idea. i havent touched it in months, so i can get a mini press and see what that does do i need snap on bits for this, or can i just get the bit in with a little sticking out as possible so it doesnt wobble?
  12. tried that, didnt seem to work to well, just jammed it in more
  13. didnt even remember that i had this until jetsons and i just started talking about it. a few months ago i was drilling the lugs on my 1680 mbw case, and on the last hole, of course, the bit snapped and got lodged in the hole. i tried to get it out, as some of you guys may recall, but it would not budge. so now i still have this watch in pieces, ready to be put together, gen parts and all, if i can only get this damn bit out. any suggestions? thanks guys
  14. this is not my watch, i hope nobody thinks it is. just thought it might have some parts for anyone trying to build one. especially the movement.
  15. ff - its your last one that inspired me, so amazing, and this new one, wow, i'll take it!!!!
  16. oh, of course i know that. just trying to keep the price as low as i can, i am well aware of the fact that this would run over 2k at least, just curious to know whats the best starting point
  17. why is that? I am a noob to building pam's so any education would be great, please, school me....
  18. a vintage 6152/1? ( flavorflav??? ) What case/dial/crown/movement etc. I need. Would splurge for the gen movement, and maybe some other parts, but dont want this to get outta control with the $$. any point in the right direction would be great.
  19. might want to have a look at this, maybe be worth someones time to build a RARE watch. I dont know enough to tell if its gen or not, looks to be to me. rolex GMT 6542
