-
Same style watercolour, but not T.Lamazou When I was flying and living in Tahiti, the back grandfather of a friend was Jacques Boullaire, a painter best friend of Paul Gauguin, this is a Jacques Boullaire drawings notebook More J.Boullaire drawings tomorrow, I have originals charcoal sketches All Rolex bezel slopes are vrong, I must admit that lot of modded reps and frankens are nicer than gens, But this watch is a genuine, I have it at home for some services and a cristal replacement, thats right, the cristal is not original, but the watch is a genuine,

A friend of mine sent me these pics, he wants to sell this Explorer II, What do you think, its a gen or a rep ? I noticed it has the correct hands stack, I think so,
-
easy to drill the case and install a cosmetic or working HEV
-
just a question : I read about shallow rehaut and so... o.k, but : do you compare with gen stuff ? I mean, real consistant gen stuff or just pics from gen forums, looks like here we have a certain way or no way,

a comparison of Hands -Clarks:GEN:Yuki
Rolexaddict replied to highoeyazmuhudee's topic in The Rolex Area
as I work on gens since a few months, I have compared gen hands on a GMT16750 and a Expl.16570 with various aftermarket hands, Gen Rolex hands are very thick compared with reps, the only seller who has the good one is Clark -
Building a 1680 and 1665 - finally made up my mind
Rolexaddict replied to ahchard's topic in The Rolex Area
Warning with ingod stuff, good dealer, good service, fast shipping, but : I ordered a 1675 dial, its worse than the first issue of Yuki gmt dials. the only positive thing, for 99 usd I have a round brass plate stamped Singer. It will be refinished, 130 euros more. -
Just received pics of my rolexaddict build....

The cristal is a gen and has the right specs, this visual effect comes from the insert angular design, this one is a little more flat so its top is a little bit lower -
depending the countries, its free when shipped in North America, fees for most European countries

WTF ???? minimal crown guards, maximal crown THE VERDICT IS : a Perfect Piece of Shiiiiiit ! no offence, its just to point out this thing
-
crown guards are complete wrong, to short, not enough metal, have a look on a gen case The MBW mystics : captain swoop asked : Where do you get an MBW Case Set? I ask the same : Where do you get an MBW Case Set? I noticed here, answers are like politician answers, someone ask something and, replies are complete out of the subject or drifts to another subject Lot of talk : MBW case here, MBW cases there etc. one more time : Where do you get an MBW Case Set? I have to pay something or be a platinium to have infos ? this is a well kept secret ? oh, I forgot : A few months ago I asked the terrible "Where do you get an MBW Case Set?" and I got some evasive responses like "do a search"

3 ways : MIM, metal injection molding, cast iron, forged metal MIM is sometimes used in horlogery, but our rep watch cases are from forged blocs of SS which are machined with lathe and mill through automated programs or routines. Chinese watch factories unfortunately don't have original Rolex blue prints... Sounds like Beyeler and Spielmann companies have sold machines and some prints to Asian companies, may be thats why Yuki and Phong have more accurate cases

me ? I am a good boy si, si !
-
Sky Dweller... my mother has a Colt
-
stop dreams and fantasms, More seriously : you want to produce cases ? pm sent, I need 5513, 1680, 1665, 1675 cases, also crowns, may be its possible also to buy a dial machine, I need dials for all cases mentionned lol
-
WARNING The new batch is finished, good dials are out of stock, they probably will not have the same anymore... What you see right now is the old batch, look on the rear, not stamped Singer, good lume but printed texts are weak. Don't buy this one, may be wait for a new version 2 I have one from ingod44 on its way, will see...

Sent my 1675 Cornino to Mr RolexAddict for a dial swap :)
Rolexaddict replied to a topic in The Rolex Area
this DW flaw is coming from the original DW from the explorer, numbers are on the left from 20 to 30, I was enough stupid to order DW from WSO... they are made for Rolex movements... ETA and DG movements DW complications are reversed... so, the only way to correct this flaw is to find some people able to print DW a the right specs -
Sent my 1675 Cornino to Mr RolexAddict for a dial swap :)

Yes, the new batch, I wanted to make a topic to say that the new Yuki 1675 dials batch is fantastic ! but to tired tonight new dials are just amazing with sharp white printed text, the only thing is the orange markers... so, I removed the orange and relumed for Z. -
Dennis, got your pm with adress, I checked my ETA parts box, I have a lot of these 3 stack gears, I will send you 2, just in case one will fly and be lost in the carpet... in fact this part is not an ETA part, it is a part from the 2836 series Chinese gmt conversion assembly JJ
-
Robert, I am a little bit late, lot of watches to assemble, yours need reluming as we talk and I need one or two more days, I will email you news, lot of (positive) change in my "kitchen watch plumbing statut", Dennis, socialists/democrats in USA are not the same like in France, I really appreciate Obama for lot of reasons and hope he will be elected for a second round , Nicolas Sarkosy would be a democrat in USA, Hollande would be a communist, worse, a Bolchevic !
-
lol, elections in 2 months, I cross my fingers for Nicolas, the other one is an idiot, a communist, inexperienced, sorry, a socialist. Socialists in France have the heart at the left and the wallet at the right...
-
D, I have complete 2836 series GMT conversion in stock, so I will give you a 3 stack gear,

help copy daytona 6263 asian 7750 or manual movement?
Rolexaddict replied to chevall's topic in The Rolex Area
On these Chinses Seagull/Venus the 6 register is not frozen, the 6 register doesn't exist, these movements are bi-compax. I have had these kind of Daytona for servicing... the 6 register hand was glued with rodico... very professional, lol, Personally, (imho) I prefer to go with a 7750, even if there is a 0.6mm subdial spacing difference, the 7750 has the same fonctions as the 72/727 series : minutes and hours counter are operational. For me, a Daytona copy has to work like the gen model, chronos has to be working for use, watch has to be alive, not frozen for apparence, I don't like carnaval or parade watches just my philosophy
