It's also loose on my 177H I recieved today, and the pin even fell out of the CG at one point today.

Indeed I am asking the dealer for a replacement, and see how this one goes.

I recieved the newest VC Overseas replica today, and I have encountered major problems with the bracelet. It appears that the screws are very soft, and break very easily, apart from the fact many of the screws are stuck in the bracelet anyways. My professional watchmaker couldn't even move the screws, and ended up breaking a few too. Just a heads up.

TT Daytona's are a dime a dozen it seems everywhere. Royal de Versailles in Toronto had 8 of them a few months ago, La Difference a few doors over had 4 of them, and Chateau D'Ivoire in Montreal had 6 of them a few months ago as well. Also available for quite a good discount, around 20%. SS Subs and SDs are also quite easy to find here, every AD in Toronto and Montreal has at least one of each, and have the occasional LV Sub, and they offer anywhere from 15-25% discount depending on cash/credit card transaction, except on the LV which is at full list. And the best thing about these SS Daytonas is that you can wear it until you get bored, and sell it for a profit, I wish that was the case with all watches. Only problem is actually finding a dealer that will put you on the list.

What also sucks about Canadian banks is that you're only covered up to $100,000 if the bank falls, and you're out the rest. The banks that pay high interest are quite risky, as many are newcomers in the Canadian market, while Term Deposits pay pathetic rates. I'm being paid 0% on Chequing balances, and 0.01 on Savings balances. Canadian banks also don't allow you to withdraw much cash at once, all they'll give you is $2000 without 48 hours notice, which makes things difficult.

Good luck Maciek....... The wait for watches can be very hard..... I was told I would need to wait at least a year for my Patek 5960 to come in last week, and it's already feeling like its taking forever.

This is great news, just hope it won't be too far down the line, since I need to do some circling around the world in July/August.

Wow, another possible unfolding drama...... -
What the hell? I deposited $70 into my wallet, I went into the 777, I went back, and then I found out my wallet was cleared. I didn't even get to play.

Buying gold watches when there was an SS option just never made sense to me. I would always buy the SS because of the durability, and it is a lot less flashier than gold. Besides, gold is ridiculously marked up in watches anyways. I don't think that the new trend has anything to do with gold prices, because buying gold coins, bars would make more sense.

Oh well.......... Out with the old, in with the new!

What would a Franck Muller 16mm Tang Buckle cost?
thomasng replied to cpaman's topic in General Discussion
A UN tang buckle cost me more than $100 too (SS one)......... Don't even ask about gold buckles, especially gold deployants. I had to buy a new deployant to replace a damaged one on my old UN Freak, and it was close to $1800 for a RG deployant. Lange's deployant's are almost $3000 a piece, the Platinum ones go for close to $5000 a piece.
