  1. I know it will be much loved and appreciated, therefore that's why I'm sending it to him.
  2. From me, the Royal Oak guy: Sorry to disappoint you, the hangtag is not included, as it came off of my RO Chrono. Please, someone give me this stubborn kid's address. I want this to be leaving my hands ASAP.
  3. Just try to stop me........ There's a blue dialed brand new 38mm Jumbo from my personal collection coming your way.
  4. Dutchy, your octagonal dreams will soon be fulfilled. I have my connections.
  5. I just don't think it would be fair to have a Spanish forum per se, what about the other first languages people may have? German, French, all come to mind. If you allow Spanish, it wouldn't seem fair to some people, then you have to allow other languages their own forum too, and then it just becomes crazy.
  6. Well, kruzer00, are any of them better than the rep crown? I am planning to replace the crown on this 111H (image borrowed from PT, because I bought it from PT) I was thinking what the heck, it's going off to The Zigmeister for servicing and relume anyways, and if has any left, the recessed pin mod too.
  7. I'm trying to send him payment right now, but pp is being gay. I only use my bank account to pay people now, and it appears pp won't let me send EL a payment, citing "fraud concerns". No way is pp touching my credit card. I'm going to see if I can get this fixed up ASAP. If I can't fix it up, someone can take my spot, unfortunately. Here's a screenshot:
  8. I know there are quite a few British members here, so I thought why not, post this question here. Any Brits here who have a newer passport, have any of you experienced problems with the passport photo being illegible? When I went to Paris late last year, I took my British passport that I obtained in November 2005 to enter. Only problem was, the photo was scanned improperly, and part of my hair was cutoff too, and with the holograms that cover the face, it makes it even worse. Also, since they scan the photos and print them on the page now, my face sort of disappeared into the background too. It caused quite a problem at the Paris airport, where they kept doubting its authenticity, but eventually let me through.
  9. Sorry for a noob like question, but what is the best crown out there to upgrade a 111H? I know there are Palpatine crowns, Lello crowns, but I am confused by this wealth of information. If someone here would help me, that would be awesome. admin
  10. Ah, you see, it's hard for me to wear casual to work, since I normally have to meet clients, and I have to impress them with what I wear, and especially what watch I wear. But, on weekends, evenings, and days-off, there's no freaking way I'm wearing a suit! That's one advantage of being on jury duty right now, I can wear anything I want and no one will give a damn anyways, we were told to observe "proper courtroom attire", but to hell with that. And really, i never liked how they would put sponsors on the jerseys themselves, that's why I normally opt for national jerseys. But to be honest, this year I have been pretty slow in keeping up with football. Haven't watched a game on TV in weeks, and I may even miss large parts of the WC, as it will conincide with ending of jury duty, and I should be expected to be sequestered for 4 or 5 days, and when I get back to work, there will be so much to clear up before I can go to Hong Kong on July 15th. And Real Madrid, I would agree that they are acting like a marketing machine........ You know why they selected Beckham over Ronaldinho........... Marketability, nothing else, if they as a team really wanted to improve themselves, the obivous choice would have been Ronaldinho. Football has become so commercial these days, and yet we continue to gobble it up anyways. Oh BTW, I also do own a couple of hockey jerseys, mostly Toronto Maple Leaf ones, how could I live in Toronto without one?
  11. You hit the nail on the head with that post Chronus. It always seemed to me though, that around the world, Man U, Madrid, Barca was the most popular, as I see these shirts almost everyday in downtown Toronto, but rarely saw Liverpool ones. I'll probably wait until I go to Hong Kong in July to look for them, as HK has a large amount of sporting stores, which do sell genuine goods. You know, everytime I think about what I wear, I always think about what watch I could have bought with that money. So many shirts. I have a number of designer jeans, some which are upwards of $200, and some casual longsleeve shirts, sweaters which are over $100. I probably could have brought myself another Royal Oak with all the money I spent on clothes in the last few years. But on an interesting note, despite the fact I wear a suit everyday at work, I wear cheap ones from generic stores, I could never stand to pay for an Armani suit or the likes.
  12. Dutchy, Girard Perregaux is often available for HUGE discounts on the internet. You can pick them up for dirt cheap, and at fractions of retails for NIB pieces, and even less for LNIB pieces. I was able to buy a GP ww.tc Chronograph, the World Timer for $4900 in LNIB condition, with 1 1/2 years factory warranty remaining, keep in mind, the retail is $15,000.
  13. Have a Ronaldinho one in my dresser too. I haven't been able to find a place that has Liverpool jerseys in Canada though.
  14. Ashamed to say I don't have any Dutch shirts, but maybe I should pick up one. I have something like 6 England jerseys, a couple from English FCs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United, a Real Madrid Beckham jersey, 2 Brazilian national, Portuguese national, and a whole bunch others at my house, but I forget what else there is. also have a huge amount of soccer t-shirts, something like 40 or so. I also have a few casual jackets, in fact I normally wear a silver-coloured longsleeved England tracksuit almost everyday.
  15. Disaster is all I can say. The case profile is too thick, and this dial colour combo does not exist, the Fondation did not come with a black dial. You are better off with versions from Sean, EL or River. But at least it does have WG-like screws.
  16. What are you guys out there palnning to do this long weekend? I was planning to play soccer with the guys at the office this afternoon, but unfortunately, it's raining quite hard right now in downtown Toronto, and that had to be cancelled. Tomorrow, I'm going to begin moving some of the furniture from my apartment to my house, and probably go catch a movie with my fiance. Sunday, I'm going to go bikeriding in Niagara Falls. Monday, I'm just going to sit around at home and relax, and prepare to return for jury duty on Tuesday morning.
  17. Ah, don't worry Dutchy. It's just not worth the hassle to buy fake clothes, IMO. I have a home England jersey that I have worn far more than 100 times, and it hasn't shown any signs of wear so far. I have something like 30 soccer jerseys at home, and really beat all of them up, and no problem. None of them have faded so far.
  18. Are the soccer jerseys of the exact same quality? I have many in my wardrobe, and ooooh, a lot of them were so god damn expensive, but they're really well made. The funny thing is, many of the ones I have were made in Canada.
  19. Yeah, I am. My bad.
  20. I love the Arktos a lot, but what's bothering me is the lack of the extra GMT hand. Even if they did a dummy one I would be a happy person.
  21. Not that I'm interested in buying replica clothes, but I'm curious, what kind of replica clothing has people here seen before? How was the quality and such?
  22. I wore my Royal Oak Chronograph to the AP boutique and other AP dealers in Paris late last year, and got the royal treatment from all these stores. I was allowed to listen to AP Grande Complications, Minute Repeaters, Richard Mille tourbillons, and everything that is as expensive as a house. It was like they couldn't show me enough. And there was the time in Montreal, wearing the UN Freak got my the royal treatment at a high-end watch store that sells Lange, Vacheron, Breguet, Blancpain etc...... They even showed me some very nice pieces from the back too, including the UN Trilogy of Time set.
  23. I nearly had an heart attack when I heard of this offer. The original market value determined by my real estate agent was $375,000, and the bidding war got insane soon after. It was an insane week, in this timeframe, my apartment rose in value by almost $200,000! Either the real estate agent grossly underestimated the value of my apartment, or people have mental problems. Oh well, who cares. As long as I have the cheque in my hands, and the real estate agent has her 2% cheque, everyone's happy. Beauty of this is too, I have this apartment registered as my primary residence, therefore when I sell it, I don't have to pay a single cent in taxes, even though I stay at my suburban house 90% of the time. Unfortunately, this resulted in my jury summons requesting I show up at a courthouse closer to the apartment, rather than the one closer to my real residence.
  24. Closing deal on Tuesday for $570,000. I'm a very happy man, along with my fiance.

    My gift

Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly with what you said. I can't stand it when we as a community are called fake people and what not, just because we may wear fake watches. But what's the most important about life is, you have to be genuine inside, and that's all that matters. Wearing a $50,000 Tourbillon and a $200 Fake Rolex doesn't change the person you are inside. In fact, the guy wearing the $50,000 Tourbillon could just be as fake inside, as does he really appreciate the Tourbillon, or just wants to show off? Me, I bought a UN Freak because I truly admired its radical new escapement and it's a pinnacle of innovation, but it later proved to be too show-offish, and too large for me anyways. That's why, I always smile when I post on this community, despite the fact I will keep buying genuine watches, I will always continue to buy reps for the fun of it, the quest of making it closer to genuine and for the community that comes with it.
