  1. throw that case on a 127 and it's a winner...
  2. looks good! all you need is a few creases in the case...
  3. webpage is very slow- prices are very good however...
  4. for this bezel a 40.8mm so if yo are using crystal it will be this less gasket (not sure dims of your crystal) stock jackson bezel is 2mm deep- this slim one is 1.5mm deep
  5. Here is the latest attempt at a 372- this time from a jackson 47mm case (thanks southy). As you can see not 100% homage as i have left crease slightly above mid-height and lugs are a bit fatter than 372 (i prefer this look). This build borrows from previous experiment at a "slim" 6152/1 case set: Images below are of current fantasy build in progress (am giving my fingers a break!):- dsn slim solid caseback, reshaped jackson 47mm case and an athaya single-piece low-profile bezel. Plexi is a necky solid (temporary mock-up) reduced down to 5mm overall (may go lower). Hope to combine with a 4 liner (with secs) (or a dow cali dial- tbd) to create a "vintage" 372 daily beater. Awaiting lever mod form athaya, slim lower solid plexi from necky.... further down are comparison shots with prevously built mini-fiddy 372 cali build. Apologies in advance for grainy photos.... comparitive shots with mini-fiddy 372 cali (mf lhs, fiddy rhs). difference in height considerable, but mini-fiddy is very comfortable on.
  6. buckle looks great! spring bars are easier to make and will look similar to screw-in cost will be the main issue with these imho
  7. 7.5" wrist here 47mm is fine however when you start going higher (thick caseback and hi-dome etc) it does look great but starts becoming impractical i can still see from where i am sitting the chunks taken out of the doorframe by my ecozilla! for some reason the mini-fiddy does wear significantly smaller, even thought is it as tall. For a long time i neglected this size as was only interested in 47mm cases- it is actually very practical for everyday use. I have another build at moment- a "slim" 47mm 6152/1 with parts incoming: it will be interesting to compare.
  8. thanks all- i thought plexi was too high when i installed it: it is only 4mm overall but as shallow dome looks higher- dial looks great however so i think i will keep it necky's plexi as is even thought the build-up is nearly as high as a vintage fiddy this one is more comfortable (44mm makes a difference) am working on a "shallow" vintage 47mm fiddy at moment so will be interesting to see how they compare....
  9. 372 update: reverse lume cali dial mounted with solid plexi on timeband ammo:
  10. great visual comparison- you are right the pictures speak for themselves!
  11. i am going with a neckyzips solid plexy (4mm high)
  12. mini 6154 cali with CG on timebandit black mp44 strap ...
  13. here is a mock-up of a build in progress: could not wait as i got this awesome timeband 26mm strap (which i have mounted in 24mm lugs) which i wanted to see on and also i wanted to see what this shape would look like before finishing. ingedients: 1. reshaped "old" jackson mini-fiddy case with neckyzips brass tube (same dim as normal) and fiddy CG modded to fit CG 2. destro mm dial (stock cartel)- temporary 3. fiddy double pencil hands- temporary 4. slow beat (i think) nicely engraved a6497 movement- temporary 5. nw opb engraved display caseback 6. timeband 26mm mp44 brown strap 7. gs plexi- temporary am waiting for athaya lever (for lever mod) and necky solid plexi to finish off fantasy build. final engine to go in will be molnija 3601 with river black cali dial and hands (am salivating at dow's snowflake lume mod) case shape not too bad (3rd attempt at this!) but have deliberately left a bit more on lugs- imho they got the shape wrong on the gen!!! anyway here are a few (bad) iphone progress shots....
