does anyone have a cad drawing of a 47mm rad case? another member is thinking of doing a totally new design based on a radiomir shape and i thought the best way to start is with an existing one. if not 47mm then smaller is fine also- i can amend to suit. thanks in advance.

you need to go to homage forum dot com plenty of older pocket watch movements there: hammies (917 and 921), corteberts 616 and 618 (the odd 620) and of course the obligatory molnija 3601, 3602 builds most of the components you need (as well as good tutorials) are here in www.vintagewatchparts.com for any once-off pieces (specific movement rings etc.) wither gordon (above) can do for you or else another hf member athaya can fabricate

i agree- go from smaller bit up to required size lug chew happens when you try and go for required size hole straight off- reduce the chance of this by reducing bit size for initial drilling and then increase. i have done tis by hand- no jig needed- simply sit the case on a table or workbench and hold in place with one hand and carefully drill (level ) with the other. if needed you can rotate drill in circular motion (keeping level) to get hole slightly larger.
