Yes the new posts feature is still not picking up everything, I posted a few things, but the new posts button does not reveal them like it used too..... EDIT: Like this post, after I posted it and clicked new posts, this thread is no longer part of the search results, it would have been before -
The pushers and crown must be plated I asume yes, but the case back is 100% ceramic too, it is a full ceramic case In regards to what will scratch easier, well that would be the steel watch, because ceramic is a much harder substance on the hardness scale, it takes much more effort to mark it, or another "harder" substance, although it can be brittle, so don't over tighten those screws!

Who said I paid anywhere near $399 for my "Electronic Paper" screen Sony PRS-505? I got it brand new, but clearance for a whole lot less than that ($180ish), plus it can be read for hours without eye strain due to the aforementioned screen technology

Not sure if the new post button is picking everything up, I bumped my thread, but it's still a no show -
I have a fully modded ETA2893 EL PAM029, with updated date disc, DSN one piece crystal, superlumed dial/hands, thick case back and a T48 crown, should be back from Domi very soon too! Is that the going price for one updated like mine? What do you mean "off forum"?
-
Yes Hublot pictures are mandatory Hehe, just kidding, I look forward to seeing the result!
-
You got yours too? Where are the preliminary pictures? Good luck with your mods, you must post pictures when she's finished!

I was interested in the ipad when I first heard about it, before anything was really known in detail, as I use a Sony 505 ebook reader (fantastic too!), and thought that the ipad could be the next step, but when I saw the product specs and price, that ended all those thoughts sharply!
-
And will that turn into: "With such diverse opinions now I have to buy one. " I will pray for you.....
-
Thanks chaps, I have it boxed up with a Swiss 7750, ready for Domi's magic, fingers crossed all goes well!

My watch arrived, I posted a few wrist shots here:

For those wanting to know, Mary is a registered dealer here! http://www.rwgforum.com/forum/240-watch-international/ Cheers!

Firefox is enlarging the picture for me via the defaultzoom addon, otherwise the font looks tiny like that, I would turn it landscape

I always thought the old school EL 029 dials were well sort after and highly desirable?

I never said it wouldn't sell in any of my posts, I just think it's massively under-spec'ed, and massively over priced, typical apple really. I also find that peeps can be very patronising about it, and smug. The whole "I know something you don't know" thing, but I guess that is synonymous with apple fans in general? I understand perfectly what it is, but I am unimpressed about it on pretty much every level. Will I feel like an idiot down the road? No I won't, because I stand by my opinions, and the ipad won't suddenly become what it's not, unless apple produce a handful of new revisions in the future Seriously, if the thing had beefier specs, hi resolution widescreen, open OS, USB, HDMI, card reader and maybe a webcam too, I would have thought it was pretty neat, and may have thought about picking one up, but alas that is not the case
-
Haha classic, you think my posts are vitriolic? Please Pug, I don't want your "education", I just find it amusing, I had never heard Jobs talk about the ipad, it's hilarious, the thing doesn't support flash, and is a non standard screen format, how can it possibly be as he describes? I tried it, it was "meh" at best.... If anyone needs to take a step back it's you, you are the one taking all this personally for some reason, why is that? It's just a bit of techno fluff anyway. What you call "hating", I call perspective
-
Brilliant, is that Jobs actually talking about the ipad? Seriously saying that this is the best browsing experience you have ever had, it's unbelievably great, way better than a laptop? That is the stupidest statement I have ever heard, people actually believe him too?
-
Nice one coolfire but really it's just my trusty Sony P101, quality lens on that camera, even though it's an old one!
-
Thanks coolfire, you will not be disappointed!

Hehe, maybe they double dosed that strap! The strap smell is feint, not like the strap you mention, or some of the Chopards I have owned, they were quite strong too. This one you have to put your nose right up close
-
Even without the VAT is still a large amount of $$$, whatever way you look at it. Also apple are tight, retailers make virtually bugger all from apple products As for R&D costs, they would be tiny, as it's basically a very large itouch, most the R&D costs are done and dusted from previous ipod builds..... Yeah, just like you did!
-
The v1 strap did not smell of vanilla, mine had the standard, slightly chemically rubber smell, I much prefer the feint vanilla smell
-
I only have one now, this one! Although I have owned the all steel (this factory) and all black ceramic V1 version too (custom ice dial).... I think I have to say this is my favourite one, I have always wanted a subtle gold watch, but the plate wearing away put me off big time, that won't be a problem with this watch. Also as it's a low beat A7750, I may try and get a Swiss ETA7750 dropped in, I really like it that much!

After my previous gold ceramic purchase from Tony, discussed here: I decided to buy another full ceramic Hublot as soon as I had the chance, having sold the 1st version a long time ago..... After many, many months the factory decided to create another batch (the 1st version being discontinued and out of production), so I jumped on board as soon as I could. I went with Mary this time, as her service, QC and price point are among the best I have come across Enough chat, here are some pictures, keep clicking to expand: A stunning watch as you can see, I think it is better than the previous version. The case back is nicer with the black font lettering, although still not accurate, but then how many full ceramic genuine Hublot's are there anyway? The rotor engraving is also a massive improvement, looks just as fine and crisp as the V1 factory. The AR is also very, very good, with a blue/green tint, the crystal disappears at certain angles. The general fit and finish is good, the pushers are neat and tidy, without overlarge cutouts you sometimes see them protruding through. The strap and buckle are well made, the strap also has a feint vanilla smell.... The gold ceramic finish is excellent, very high quality too, the colour looks good and the buckle matches perfectly, the dial CF pattern is sharp and the print is clean, and the date has a nice bold font, overall the watch has an impressive wrist presence and feel to it The only thing that I noticed is the bezel screws, two are a bit smaller than the others, I think that may be because I requested a brushed bezel, so when it was swapped they may have used the wrong screws. I am sure Mary will send out some new screws, an easy fix and not even that noticeable, just splitting hairs really For about $350 shipped this has to be one of the best Hublots around, the fact that the ceramic case shouldn't fade or tarnish is a massive bonus too..... Comments and observations welcome!
