  1. Well I am lucky, no family members try to "borrow" my watches, I have them all to myself!
  2. Yep, I would love to own a gen ti Seawolf, the discontinued titanium Breitling's have always been among my favourite watches. I really don't understand why Breitling no longer make them, or even use titanium, seems strange to me....
  3. Thanks By-Tor, like the SFSO, this is one watch where I would love to own the gen, but I can't justify the price to myself I have a good selection of mainly high end rep watches, with a hell of a lot having passed through my hands, eventually I will post a group shot, just need a few final pieces of the puzzle
  4. Date roll kicks in at around 10PM with Swiss or Asian 7750's, and the gear change lasts until abut 2AM, that is the reason you cannot change the date with the crown manually during that time, the gear system will be damaged
  5. Looks fantastic, I am lucky though, I have a Lello disc in the post, should be here soon!
  6. You are totally correct, the slightly thicker Palp crown, with less bevel looks better to me, plus the design allows the lever greater lever contact on the crown too, as the recess is less......
  7. Thanks, just waiting for a lello wheel to finalise this piece
  8. Here is the result of Domi's work on my franken Chrono Avenger He AR'ed the crystal, and re-finished the matte finish on the dial (it was scratched up). Fantastic work, it is a new watch now! Thanks Domi!
  9. Here are some shots of the new Palp/Marcus crown installed on my DSN 027a Looks really good, I prefer it to the T48 crown, and the lever pushes slightly against the crown now Here is the gen to compare: And the T48: Cheers!

  11. I guess I lucked out, the Volcano is really easy to manage, I could actually change the lugs over, and swap bracelet/straps without any worry, not that I will. That was simply not possible before
  12. You miss-understand, the screws are the same as yours (four short lug screws), but the hole for them goes straight through the Volcano case, you can look through the lug holes and out the other side of the case, with my black themes you couldn't do that, the holes stopped, so if a screw got stuck in there, it was near impossible to get out! The APbands screws would simply not screw into the Volcano, the four rep ones fit the Volcano easy as pie. My old black themes was a pain in the ass, you couldn't swap between a steel bracelet and a strap, due to the lug screws being tight and stripping easily, rep or APbands
  13. The APBands carbon strap I purchased fit perfectly, check my Volcano thread It's the same factory, but maybe the manufacturing tolerances are much looser in the rep world? Certainly having the lug holse going all the way through the case is handy, and you can't tell once the strap is mounted of course
  14. Strange thing is the four APBand lug screws do not fit my Volcano, I had to use rep lug screws, weird because the APbands screws fit my older black themes (now sold), I don't know why that should be the case. One thing about my Volcano is that the lug holes in the case go all the way through, so a striped lug screw can be pushed out, my black themes did not have that, so removing striped screws was a total pain in the ass..... I do not know why, but it's true, I still have the AP lugs screws somewhere in my parts bin.....
  15. Thanks deniz21, I know what you mean, the AP watches grow on you, I was not a fan at first!
  16. The little things make a big difference, of cource the gen dial helps! They still make it in steel, heaven knows why they don't use titanium again, update the dial and date disc and the factories would sell 1000's.....
  17. Hehe, even I don't turn watches around that quickly! Maybe if I find a good deal on a gen, this will have to do for now
  18. Well stock rep Asian 7750's don't come oiled or serviced from any dealers, and for the most part they run fine even though they are dirty etc.... but still it would be best to service them to prolong the life of the movement. For me if I buy an expensive watch, with a modified movement, the service is an investment too
  19. Best bet for the lugs is to buy them from a rep dealer, $40 v $180 is a no brainer, they will fit perfectly either way Sweet watch, killer strap and lume, more pictures please
  20. As far as I know there is only one maker of the secs@12 AP, and by far it is the best version, the others with secs@9 are far less accurate, and don't have anywhere near the same quality. Just remember, I would 100% get the watch serviced via Domi or similar, factor that into the price
  21. Never had a problem with the secs@12 movement, but then I had Domi service mine as a precaution, it was running fine
  22. The APbands straps will fit straight onto the rep, you just have to buy the rep with a rubber or leather strap, not the steel bracelet (so you get the four lug pieces) The strap is not cheap, $139, but really, really well made
  23. Thanks guys, I am pretty sure this is my only franken I own, gen PAM straps don't count! I am sure it will get plenty of wrist time, but also I don't want to put a mark on it! At least ti brushes out well.....
