  1. Yep, The Zigmeister is the master when it comes to lume Although from the links you provided, the watches seemed to have pretty decent lume anyway, Skylands tend to be the messiest
  2. Have a peak here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/trio-Skylands-t8...tml&hl=trio Cheers!
  3. How do you mean? Buy it and it will come?
  4. WOW these watches have a really high failure rate, and yet peeps are still buying them for this silly price
  5. No argument, the price should have stayed the same, I never said otherwise The improvements are great though and should be welcomed, the price bump is the slap in the face..... But at least the factory are actively improving their product, maybe a non cartel dealer will not bump up the price?
  6. They already made the V1 blacksteel, and before the V2 was released as well. I see no reason why the improvements to an already manufactured watch aren't a good thing for us, the only downside is the completely unjustified price increase.... Never complain about improving the quality of any watch, how does complaining about that help our hobby? I wish the factories spent more time trying to improve their creations This is a good option for those wanting to save some cash over the more expensive V2
  7. I would take the refund 100%, forget this IWC watch, it is an overpriced POS with many, many threads about how poor it is.... Underlying problems have been: Bad lume, bad marker placement, cheap strap, poor top gun engraving, and a much higher than average A7750 failure rate than any other standard 7750 layout watch.... All for the princely sum of over $500 When you consider the small numbers sold so far, those facts are even more worrying. I think The Zigmeister is going to be very familiar with this watch in the coming months
  8. Well, they didn't make the watch any worse did they? The PVD looks a shade lighter, and the pushers are no longer gloss black either...... You can't complain about improvements, maybe the $60 price increase, yes....
  9. Hehe, yep! I would be tempted if the ceramic was a silver/platinum colour, bead blasting that would look fantastic, full gold is a bit too full on for me
  10. Actually with delivery the price is over $500, and it is well over priced, the old version was half that cost, and was made of ceramic too (just gloss, not matt) A bit of titanium and a new day/date wheel does not equal $250 or so..... Cheers!
  11. You can bead blast ceramic, I had a polished ceramic bezel and all the metal parts of a HBB treated, and everything ended up with a really nice matt finish I ended up selling the watch, due to the uncomfortable rubber strap..... Cheers!
  12. I would imagine there would be no fading or scratching either I wonder if they will release a silver version? That would be sweet, you could have it bead blasted, considering you can take the HBB apart without touching the dial/crystal, it should be very doable..... Imagine an unscratchable, non fading matt finish gold or silver HBB!
  13. It is full ceramic, no plating, ceramic need not be just black
  14. Looks really sweet, much better to have a metal blue second hand than paint it I think, it catches the light really well I still think you need the same metal blue subdial hands to go with it, for legibility if anything else!
  15. Just saw Mark has updated his range of Hublot's with a full gold, ceramic case/bezel version? Gold dial or carbon fiber... Have a peak here: http://www.timeshops.net/HB8743_-_Big_Bang...ph_2476-189.htm http://www.timeshops.net/HB8757_-_Big_Bang...ph_2477-097.htm Seems he has some variations on a Euro 2008 HBB too..... http://www.timeshops.net/HB9028_-_Big_Bang...ph_2496-546.htm Thought I should post, just in case peeps still like HBB reps
  16. Great stuff! Thanks very much This is the one I like best of all: I still think a blood red would be better, and with the subdial hands painted too, reminds me of that Chopard watch.... Cheers!
  17. Great work guys, could you alter the strap stitch too, for the finished article look please?
  18. Fantastic quality pictures, for a phone or camera It has picked up the correct tone of the yellow dial really well
  19. I really like the red, although maybe a darker tone would be better, add the ticks at the edge of the dial in red too, with red stitch on the strap Although blue looks nice too, but again maybe a darker/metallic tone is needed, with blue stitch
  20. Maybe a Nokia N95/6? I would suggest the use of a loupe for one of the shots too
  21. Sweet watch, I have the exact same one, the thing is a tank!
  22. The AR used on the rep is the same as the gen, single sided. The low beat A7750's are no more, or less reliable than the high beat versions, at least in my experience
  23. Similar, or exactly the same? If they are the same beat rate, they will sound the same. Either 6 (low) or 8 (high) beats per second
  24. Put the watch to your ear in a quiet room, you should hear 7-8 beats per second. Compare it to any ETA movement, a high beat movement will sound the same. A slow beat movement will sound like 5-6 beats per second, the audible difference is noticeable, at least to me it is I would suggest your watch is high beat Cheers!
  25. Quite a few watches have the regulator now, ever since the black dial Chopard GT XL chronograph and the silver dial solid case back version. I think the Concord C1 has it too, as well as others..... The regulator is no longer restricted to the low beat A7750 Cheers!
