New Movement: Compact Subdial Spaced 7750?
Mickey Padge replied to Mickey Padge's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I posted a thread about it already, here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Planet-Ocean-chr...aph-t94045.html -
Just noticed this over on perfect clones: http://www.jpc8118.com/0520b-p-5866.html New version: Old version: Very cool, they have created/modified a new A7750 based movement? This could provide for a pre-2000 Daytona maybe? I wonder if it is reliable? Cheers!

No problem, I will do my usual wrist shot thing! Unless it arrive in bits or something, I am using an untested off site dealer
-
I like this new style personally, the only new Rolex designs to make me go are the DeepSea and Yachtmaster II..... In fact I ordered the steel fantasy version of this Submariner a few days ago, only because I no longer have my GMTIIc though I wonder if Rolex will turn that fantasy watch into reality? I have seen the blue dial/bezel version in white gold at my local AD, I think it was about

I have found his service to be excellent too, always willing to help and great after sales support to boot!

First thing to do would be to create the OS restoration backup, which should be storable onto a USB drive in most cases. The software to do this should be provided on the PC. Then after that you can install any OS you like! and if you ever need to put the PC back to factory defaults, you can with ease using the USB stick! Having done that, if you ever need to send it to be repaired under warranty, you can put back the original OS software back onto the machine, just make sure you backup as you go along Personally I would buy a mini PC/Netbook with WinXP on it, nice and fast and stable, plus easier to get to grips with, in regards to driver support for printers and other peripherals. You can still install open office and firefox etc..... Cheers!

This updated V1 Blacksteel is now only $258, maybe they read this thread http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=3200 Seems to be a fantastic deal, I hope it's the start of a new trend, with price drops across the range, the V2 is reduced too!
-
The picture you posted is just reflection off the gloss black paint As for the low resolution gen photo, I can still see the grey circles It is an expensive $500+ rep, and it's ultimately flawed, still, nice AR and case construction, hopefully they will fix the dial EDIT: Looks like the hour marker numerals on the replica are too thin, the genuine has a much thicker font.
-
I noticed this site a few days ago, after reading a review over on repgeeks. They seem to have some great prices, so I dipped my toe in on a fantasy Rolex Submariner, with ceramic bezel. It uses a 2836 clone movement, and was only $168 inc EMS delivery I will post a review of what I receive, with the usual wrist shot selection Cheers!
-
Let us know how you get on, I look forward to seeing some pictures
-
The genuine 100% has grey circles around the 6 and 12 position sub dials, whereas the replica has jet black circles Here are a couple of genuine pictures: Not my pictures, so they aren't the best, but it is very clear there should be grey coloured rings around the sub dial, a lighter colour than the actual dial and hands etc..... It is not a jet black colour, darker than the dial and hands. You would think for the extremely high price, if they had the genuine to work from, they would get it right. Did they really have the gen "in hand" to make this? I have my doubts
-
I am sure you mentioned muffins in your post
-
Well Hont says it is the V2 blacksteel, and the bezel would indicate it as such. I already have a V2, so I am not going to jump in. I am sure someone will, so only time will tell
-
Nah, the small ones will, because they really need an edge in a tough market. The big guys will follow if they feel the need too
-
If the factory drops the price, it is up to the dealer in question to pass on that saving. We all know Hont won't be selling the V2 at a huge loss, and if he can get it for a substantially lower price, so can all the other dealers...... This type of thread won't hurt either, as it brings the new price to everyone's attention
-
What happened, did I miss something?
-
Blimey! Nice find, I wonder how soon the other dealers will follow? Could this be a reaction to the recent V1 blacksteel update? Cheers!
-
I just found out about a flaw on the the dial, two grey circles are missing around the sub dial rings, pretty obvious flaw Genuine: Hopefully this will be fixed in a new revision maybe? Definitely not worth $500+, even more so with dial errors.....
-
Apparently, this might be the new updated version? The dial has the correct off white markers and hand lume, with the markers moved a tiny bit towards the center of the dial. Also mine is marked 132/300, whereas the old style 082's were 033/300? So Davidsen may have tweaked this watch a little bit more, and corrected some of the errors. Any PAM experts care to comment?
-
Thank you! it is really nice, and it has pushed my ti PAM036 off my wrist, which is no mean feat! I was so happy when I saw the serials and correct case back, I really didn't want the newer version, without the serials. I have heard the new version may have a correct (non inverted) case back engraving, but that info is not confirmed, at least until the watch is received by the RG member Egg Mc Manos
-
Just received this from Davidsen, a beautiful Swiss titanium PAM082! This is the old version, with serial numbers and correct caseback engraving. I took a long shot and asked for the old one, and so it seems he can still get both versions? Anyway, here are some pictures, click to expand: Aside from a couple of dial marks (tiny) the watch is perfect, I could not be happier. Full superlume on the dial and hands, and high CP too. I now have a PAM036 and PAM082, and I hope to keep it to that amount, I can't afford any more Comments and observations most welcome

Ever heard the old saying, no matter how much you polish a turd, it's still a turd
-
Don't spend anything trying to improve that Sub, trust me, it is not worth it Buy a noob Submariner from one of our trusted dealers
-
I agree, stick to the dealers on this board, for similar money you could get a noob Submariner, which is MUCH nicer than this "Sub".... Hmm, anyone like a sandwich? Nothing beats a spam sandwich
-
Thanks! Nothing wrong with that either! (unless your skint, sorry) Multiple straps for the same watch can be cool, as you can change the watches appearance with ease when it suites you
