  1. How about you post a nice write up with pictures about your avatar now morlock?
  2. Fantastic write up, thanks very much! Shame they still use those poor Asian day/date wheels, the font is all wrong....
  3. Great work right there, undeniable in black and white
  4. Hehe, crazy stuff, but I am glad you fixed it and can re-coat the case
  5. If the issue was just the dial and hands lume being slightly off I would 100% agree alligoat, but the hour markers on the lower half of the dial have a strange green tint, just like the hands, but the upper hour markers are pure white, just as they should be. It seems whoever re-lumed the dial had the mix wrong or inconsistent..... So the watch needs a new dial and hands, and seeing as the website states the dial/hands, and crown will be new and problem free, I think toygar got a raw deal really.... Cheers!
  6. Looks odd, and is not right. I thought the refurb WM9 watches had good dials, but the cases may have a ding/mark or something? I would get it relumed if WM9 does not offer a new dial and hands for it..... Cheers!
  7. Well if I remember the secs@12 movement review correctly, there was a metal plate just sitting between the dial and movement, to create a slight gap for the date, they could have decorated that plate with the fake gears maybe and used a true skeleton dial? From Francisco's review: He said: "A first very thin plate appears. It is not screwed, only fastened by the pins of the dial. I cannot find the function of this plate." So they could improve this if they thought of it........
  8. Maybe they could have replicated fake gears under the dial? it still looks quite good though
  9. Hehe, I know how that feels Is this it? http://www.jpc8118.com/0524-p-5870.html What does the gen look like? Cheers!
  10. In a thread like this you should really post links at least Even better would be a re-hosted picture
  11. Out of all the modified movements, I think this one could have the biggest impact on our hobby.... The secs@6 was mainly for Daytona's, the secs@12 was only for AP's, the secs@3 has had the most coverage so far I think across a range of watches...... Surely this modification offers the broadest scope and the largest range of different watches, so you have to hope they did a good job with the modification, it is not in their interests to create more paperweights after all Cheers!
  12. Well I always find myself watching Groundhog day if it comes on, same with Shawshank redemption, and maybe Rocky from 1976 with Rocky Balboa from 2006 ( ignoring most of those in between ) for some major continuity within a film genre, those flashback scenes were from 30 years ago That is not a top three though, just some films that spring to mind
  13. Hehe, you are a day late http://www.rwg.cc/members/Planet-Ocean-chr...aph-t94045.html But yes, we could see a whole new range of watches with this, not to mention a possible reliable modern pre-2000 Daytona!
  14. Just don't try and communicate via babelfish, or you could end up in big trouble!
  15. I would wait for a movement review before buying one, hopefully it will be jeweled where needed. I will be interested to see how they managed to move the subdials such a small way across the dial....
  16. Listed at $298, so not bad price wise, double AR too
  17. It is a shame, but there is no way around that physical restriction, good thing the Daytona has no date!
  18. Could be a whole new range of accurate chronographs from this it seems, best to get the ones without the date though, as it will be sunk again.....
  19. Standard rep parts from the big ol' rep bin
  20. I know, it has opened up a whole new range of watches! I have my fingers crossed for a Daytona, in case you didn't guess
  21. Er, yeah, whatever, great contribution All my chronographs work fine, don't know what you do to yours
  22. I hope the A7750 modification is reliable, after all this can be used for a pre-2000 Daytona! The chances of a reliable modern Daytona just took a huge step forward. All we need is a movement review
  23. 100% fixed positions, not just enlarged subdials, you can tell, just compare the pictures!
  24. Yeah I put it there due to the new movement, discussions about a pre-2000 Daytona might start up
