So the pin don't go to the inside of the case. There is nothing to seal.
Shure I can do a tutorial but its so easy to do. Take a hammer and small brass pin that have the same diameter as the "Valve"
Than put the brass pin on it and pull it with the hammer a bit in the Case that's it.
Very easy to do.
it's not in Freddy's tutorial.
If u look on my 1665 in my signature u can see that I pulled the "Valve Pin" a bit in the Case.
You can take a small pin from brass and a hammer to pull the pin a bit deaper in the Case.
There is not much force needed.
This is why I called it " The easy HE Valve Mod"
I've done it on several 1665 I modded for some members.
I have modded several MBW 1665. U are right the HE Valve looks etched.
But it is a metal pin in the Case. U can drop it in with Hammer.
The easy HE Valve Mod
Look at mine 1665.
For the understanding Case size is similar to 16610, but it use a smaller crystal (same size than SD) also smaller Dial (also same size as SD )
The insert is also smaller and can be used on SD too.
So the mystery is solved.
I think it's not worth, too much worth than good things.
The one piece Rehaut is nice but I don't believe a gen crystal will fit.
Dial seems to be nice. The rest looks crappy to me.
Looks the same like WM9 construction with the Eta 2876!
This was installed in my V2.
There are holes in the holder to hold the Eta Dial in place.
You must notice that the Hands have different size to fit on the 2876.
I reviewed it in the past.
I agree with Chefcook the middle link of the SEL must have sharp edges not rounded.
Yes the one piece construction is a step forward for shure.
Shape looks good and also the fitting is nice.
Thanks for your effort on this again.
