  1. Interal Diameter of most Overlays are 14,9 mm, Outside is 23mm.. But 15 mm inside is ok too... It doesn't matter... I have made a Dateoverlay Tutorial long time ago..... Must search for it... I think installing the Overlay is not the hardest job..... Thanks that you climb in for this project Lello....
  2. Great watch looks stunning Stephane I hate you..... For your great post, your great watches Just kidding...
  3. I think it's a Tropic 18...
  4. Thanks for the comparsion.... wait a little there is something in the pipeline... I will inform the forum when it's done
  5. I think just read about Rolex Submariners here in the Forum.... Learn your lesson about it than you have the answer of your question
  6. I have done it on my white 1680. You need another Dial spacer to do it right. Than it rotates free on a 1680. but the numbers on the wheel look damm blurry under the huge magnification of the tropic... I think too blurry,so i decided to change back to my old Datewheel from the Bay... Lello i have a gen silver datewheel, if you need it for reference, just let me know... There you can see the printing of the numbers and the finish of the metall... i think you are the right man to do this, your other wheels look fantastic...
  7. Damm nice How to Great write up.... I see there are a lot of different technics Thanks for that
  8. the case looks damm accurate great work from factory... Also the Tube and Crown.... How about the Bezel assembly, is it like the real deal? I can't believe they took 904L for the case because it's damm hard to get.... And platinum plated for the Insert,I don't think so.... But how knows.... Sounds like we get some nice Rolex Reps in the future... By the way the new MBW Submariner has also different sort of steel ,but no 904L.... The Sub comes with Bezel assembly like the real deal... ... and engraved Rehaut like the new 2008 Submariner....
  9. Wow, you amaze me again and again and..... Fantastic work I#m spechless....
  10. Nice watch my friend I think some more Gens and you are in the wrong forum Just kidding, a damm nice review like allways and great Pics... Wear it well
  11. Great review Stephane You have bought a damm nice SD, i love the lugholes... With some Mods the SSD will come near to the Genuine thing, expect the bracelet its poor quality of steel and finish... The Endlinks on a gen SD bracelet is splid and not three piece construction, this is only by a gen Sub... But hey a rep is a rep and can't beat the real thing... Thanks Stephane and have a nice happy new year my friend
  12. @Tribal - Does this watch feel "bigger" or more substantial on the wirst than a 16610 Submariner? I would assume that with the thicker case, it would have a slightly diff feel to it. Ive got very little experience with newer seadwellers and i dont think ive ever even fondled a gen sea-dweller before. Excellent work! dizz
  13. You are right about the back, never thought of this because I looked at the front only... But who cares
  14. Yepp,drilled countersink and retapped..
  15. After my first modded one was sold, I build up a new one... Reworked the CG's to to gen specifications Changed and installed Gen Tube and Crown .... Installed a Gen Insert.. Here some Pics...
  16. Also from me all the best to you and your Familiy... Merry Chrsitmas..... Hope to see you soon back,we all need your knowledge about watches..... ; ) Have a great time and a good new Year
  17. Nice one I also would put a nice Hollow midlink Oyster bracelet on your beauty looks much better and more authentic...
  18. MBW/MBK caseback polished and worked out by myself Ask Paso for it...
