  1. This pic is borrowed. Hopefully it shows why I sold two of my best reps, the 201a and the franken Seamaster Chronograph, to buy it.
  2. I'd rather use the triplock and still be able to afford to eat
  3. Yep, gen crown/tube, gen crystal, Yuki hands and Yuki folded link bracelet on gen 380 ends.
  4. I am luming a pair of hands for my Tudor Monte Carlo. The hands are wider than what am used to luming and they are giving me fits. What kind of binder do you guys use? Thanks. Marty
  5. I picked up the crystal about 6 months ago. I paid $130 for it. I think that's pricey, but they are going for a lot more than that now. In my opinion, you need to make the build worthwhile. Marty
  6. I think your only option is to drill out the old tube.
  7. I bought my movement back in November. Four months and $175 later, it is running strong. So much for good deals On the plus side, it does have the 45 min counter and came with an all black date wheel. I splurged on a pair of gen 380 ends. They were pricey, but I think this watch is worth it. I can't wait to get it put together. Marty
  8. Gen crystal and crown tube installed. I lost part of a couple of dots when I shaved the bezel, but it's not too bad. The movement should be back from servicing today. I need to relume the Yuki hands to match the dial (I am keeping it white) and I should be good to go Marty
  9. I am looking for a good one that is affordable. What's affordable? I would like to keep it under $200 if possible. I will also need a compressor. I will be using it to paint and lacquer watch dials ... that's about it. Thanks. Marty
  10. I have found with a couple of difference sizes of PVC pipe and a small vice with rubber coated jaws, you can do almost anything
  11. Popping a crystal out is fairly easy, putting one back in without a press can be a little tricky
  12. Guys, I have one of these for sale. It's never been used. If anyone is interested, drop me a PM. Thanks. Marty
  13. This is my 005 from Josh. I know it's a bad angle, but my level is just slightly recessed.
  14. I am putting a gen 7750 in my Bond Chronograph (current model with the raised Omega symbol) and need a gen hand set. I can't figure out the Ofrei parts numbers. Can anyone help me out? Thanks. Marty
  15. I see you're a fan of the Stig
  16. Frankened to the max. - Gen parts: Dial (the newest style with red text and applied Omega logo) - Hands, bezel (not just pearl, but entire assembly) - Date wheel (not an ETA date wheel, but a gen Omega one) - Random gaskets - Gen crown, pushers - Chief double AR'd crystal I have a gen helium valve, but after taking the rep valve apart and inspecting it, there was no reason to install the gen valve.
  17. Mine left Guangzhou on the 11th. It should hit NYC any day now
  18. That's a gen Seamaster tube. It's still in the blister pack. I've installed this crown/tube combo in the past. It's correct for the Seamaster. I think the PO could uses a different crown/tube.
  19. Yea, buy a lathe, find the screw ... it should be easy. LOL The tube it not threaded, btw.
  20. Is there something like this available in the US? Maybe JB Weld?
  21. I've always drilled out the old tube and epoxied the new tube in with JB Weld or Gorilla Glue. I know it's not correct, but it works. I assume the gen tube is press fit in the case. I am thinking that the case would need to be heated to make the hole expand, so the tube can be pressed in place. That is how bushings are press fit in steel. This is an interesting thread on the subject. http://www.chaski.com/homemachinist/...hp?f=4&t=88302 I am a little bit squeamish about heating up my Omega case with a blow torch
  22. Got my QC pics this morning. It's a very nice watch
